Slingshot Festival Slings Back on the East Coast This October

Slingshot Festival, the nexus of music and electronic art in Durham, N.C. returns to the Durham Fruit Oct 7-9 following a successful May edition that featured Eartheater, Carl Craig, Barker, Black Rave Culture, Aurora Halal, and many more. This time, the fest promises a fresh batch of global leaders in music along with new boundary-pushing programs – including North Carolina’s first-ever Boiler Room, an international DJ platform, and party series.

Apart from the event itself, Slingshot has also created its official Spotify Playlist that will feature several of the more than 60 artists playing this year. Now, attendees will able able to get acquainted with the festival’s lineup from May and October 2022.

Slingshot x Boiler Room Announces 1st Set of October Lineup Acts

Just after leaving their Spring edition in May 2022, Maison Fauna and Kai Riedl are proud to re-introduce their new event festival Slingshot once again. This time, there is no wasting any time with the upcoming Autumn series of house and techno that is expected this October for Slingshot. Slingshot is a Growing Part of The Worldwide Narrative in Music

Slingshot, the international nexus for music, electronic art, and technology in the South, has moved from Athens, GA to the up-and-coming music hotbed of Durham, NC, with two events slated for 2022: May 8, 13 and 14, and October 7-9. Dozens of artists and collectives will convene to showcase their work in a setting that has become a signature of creativity in the South. Over the years, Slingshot has hosted dozens of notables such as James Murphy, Jamie XX, Holly Herndon, and dozens of sound and visual artists from many corners of the globe. 6AM talks to the Slingshot family about what to expect from the festival and its new location.
