Just after leaving their Spring edition in May 2022, Maison Fauna and Kai Riedl are proud to re-introduce their new event festival Slingshot once again. This time, there is no wasting any time with the upcoming Autumn series of house and techno that is expected this October for Slingshot. Despite October being a couple of months away, Slingshot is ahead of its game as they introduce their first lineup performances.
As mentioned in their Instagram post on August 3rd, 2022 —
“We are overjoyed to present our first round of talent for Slingshot Festival’s fall edition. It is always exciting, joyful, and humbling when we’re able to book our favorite artists from near and far. We are grateful for all of the artists, partners, agents, managers, and this city for continuing to support this project. More updates coming soon!”

For background, Slingshot made headway in Durham N.C., and touched down for four days: May 8, 13-5 with a diverse and multi-faceted lineup fit for any house and techno fiend — including the likes of Carl Craig, Black Rave Culture, Lady Starlight, Aurora Halal, Eartheater, Andy Stott, Barker and a slew of many others (you can view the 2021 lineup here).
This time, Slingshot returns once again for three days in October 2022 (7th-9th) alongside their debut with Boiler Room. Yep, you read that correctly: Boiler Room. The lineup will include performances from Leon Vynehall, Acemoma, Tony Rolando, DJ Savon, and once again many others.

As for the debut with Boiler Room, in another Instagram Post, Slingshot expressed:
“The main stage @durhamfruit will be co-curated and broadcast live by Boiler Room on October 8. First Release tickets, which include access to Boiler Room’s stage, are available now on @resident_advisor via the link in our bio!”
If you’re from North Carolina, then you’ll know that this festival will add a nice touch that comes with Autumn, especially since the North Carolina State Fair will shortly proceed after Slingshot from October 13th-23rd. Overall, a quadruple deal in one can be expected for October — Slingshot Festival, State Fair, Hispanic Heritage month until October 15th, and of course, Halloween/Día de Muertos.
