Based in America, Julien Earle is known for being a YouTube content creator who makes videos that share production tips and tricks with aspiring music creators. Showcasing his talents in the studio, Julien Earle’s style is mainly orientated around Techno, but he takes influence from other electronic music genres as well. Now, Julien is back on his record label REFLECTION with a brand-new peak time Techno release, the same Techno style that has also been released on other imprints including UMEK‘s 1605, Spektre‘s Respekt, Pleasurekraft‘s Kraftek, and Ramon Tapia‘s Say What?, as well as earning him collaborative projects alongside The YellowHeads and Beico. Julien’s recent peak-time project features two versions of Close Your Eyes, both produced by himself, as well as an extended mix with fast and furious grooves of electrifying synths and thundering percussion. From pulsating energy, flickering acid soundscapes, stabbing melodies, and throbbing basslines, Close Your Eyes is a ride full of enthralling energy â a rollercoaster ride of elements that Julien intends to carry into 2023.
Beginning his DJing journey as a young child, Nonfiction has continued his grind to create varied sounds on the dance floor and perform with unique styles that are unparalleled. Hip Hop, Classic Rock, Funk, and Reggaeâall of which have contributed to his own flare of music creativity, have earned his achievement of playing at some of the top-tier festivals and venues such as Coachella, EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Lightning In a Bottle, Ocaso Festival (Costa Rica), Exchange LA, Sound Night Club, as well as holding down an 18-year old residency with the legendary Focus OC. Now, after charting#21 on Beatport’s Top 100 in the Tech House category with his track, “What You Want“, Nonfiction has been on the move again with his recent track “Hands on His Own” which released on RVDIOVCTIVE ‘s fourth V/A album RVDIOVCTIVE VOL. 4. This fourth compilation series concluded 2022 off to a great end by featuring 14 new and exclusive tracks from label regulars and newcomers alike. As one of the regulars, Nonfiction graces the album with track #6 “Hands on His Own” which incorporates raw house cuts and bouncing groovy bass lines that will take you back to the sounds of classic house and techno from Chicago and Detroit.
Being able to breakdown what you are hearing when you are consuming music live or on your favorite platform is like being able to understand a whole other language. Anybody who has been producing for a little bit of time has heard music that truly spoke to them and caused that “I need to know how they made this” feeling in their stomach. Getting yourself from the beginner stage to being able to reverse engineer sounds and music can take a little bit of time.
