Relentless and Unapologetic, J. Worra Goes Full Speed Ahead

“I started taking on the perspective of ‘this is my art that I’m sharing’ vs. ‘I hope people like this,'” says J. Worra (real name Jamie Sitter). When it comes to the music industry, it takes a strong mindset. “I remember I was typing out a tweet and it said ‘Can’t wait for this next release. I hope you guys like it,’” she goes onto explain. “In my mind, I was like ‘Why am I saying I hope you guys like my art? I should be saying ‘Enjoy this. EDM Is Taking Over the Grammys With Live Jack Ü Performance

JackU

With the Grammys a mere 11 days away, news of the celebration’s performers are starting to be divulged to the public. It began with the announcement that Lady Gaga and Nile Rodgers are set to take the stage for a emotional tribute to the late David Bowie.

Next up, it will be the turn of EDM duo Jack Ü, aka Skrillex and Diplo, who will be accompanied by their collaborator Justin Bieber. It is reasonably believed that they will perform “Where Are Ü Now” , considering that it is nominated for Best Dance Recording.

Jack Ü also received nods for Best Dance/Electronic Album of the Year for their self-titled debut while Diplo, as a solo act, is in contention for Producer of the Year (Non-Classical).

While Diplo and Justin Bieber have been nominated for Grammys in the past, neither have come home with a win yet. Skrillex, on the other hand, won three awards each in 2012 and 2013.

The 58th annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS on February 15.
