Well, let me save you some money and show you some people make an absolute fool of themselves at the rave for free! Just be careful and try not to copy what you’re about to see here, or it could end up costing your dignity.  Read more

Watch David August Perform With The Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin And Frieder Nagel

David August BR

David August has recently been putting his musical skills to use in a special project called ‘X – PoĂšme Symphonique,’ collaborating and performing live with Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin and Frieder Nagel.

The project debuted live on the Boiler Room, featuring a 50 piece classical symphonic orchestra and the electronic prowess of both August and Nagel.

The idea initially came courtesy of Frieder Nagel, who then proceeded to connect August and the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester early last year to bring the project to fruition. David himself then took it on to compose a symphony that combines both the elements of traditional and electronic instruments at the same time, including live production by the electronic producer himself.

You can watch the one-hour video in full below:

Matthew Dear Releases First Album in Ten Years as Audion: “Alpha”

Audion

He’s back! Audion is set to release his first album in ten years this coming June.

Dear signed up Alpha to Berlin-based imprint !K7 for the release, a shift from most of his previously released LPs that have come out on Spectral Sound. Spectral Sound also hosted Audion’s Audion X compilation back in 2013.

Alpha is naturally techno-focused and contains a total of thirteen tracks. The album’s artwork comes courtesy of Dear’s longtime artist collaborator, Will Calcutt.

The album track “Destroyer” was debuted on the Boiler Room and introduced to SoundCloud with a pretty telling note: “The mind bending “Destroyer” stands out in its warped, cyclical grandeur. Its distorted synth and tenacious bass provides listeners with the full bodied dancefloor flavour they have so eagerly anticipated.”

Bandcamp is offering audio clips of the entire album. Pre-order the album via !K7 here.

Full tracklist for Alpha, which is out on June 10th, can be found below:
