This week’s Guest Mix features APRS, a French-Berlin-based producer and DJ. He started his first productions in early 2014, but has been only recently seen on the Berlin scene. Always on the lookout, he has explored a variety of different styles over the years, mainly techno, while always keeping an emotive character in his productions.
Berghain has a new resident, Fadi Mohem. The news was confirmed this Monday, July 25th, by the Berlin club’s in-house booking agency, Ostgut, which now represents Fadi Mohem. He’s the latest addition to their roster, following the likes of Lakuti, Sedef Adasï, and JakoJako.

A new iteration of Love Parade, Rave The Planet, went ahead in Berlin this past weekend. The event is described as a “techno-leaning parade similar to the iconic event which last went ahead some 15 years ago.”
In a new chapter for Love Parade, the Berlin-based event went through July 9 – 10 featuring 150 different DJs and several afterparties at venues across the city including Anomalie Art Club and Ost Hafen. Traveling seven kilometers across the capital, the parade kicked off in West Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm to the Großer Stern monument in Tiergarten.
Berlin-based DJ Behind Bars presents his My Body EP — an intense techno monolith consisting of two sweaty and darkly layered productions. The EP is charged with pulsating energy that is on the verge of meltdown. My Body showcases subtle rave character and driving rhythms tgat take you on a dark trip through the night alongside unleashed and untold strength.

XXL is returning to Depot Mayfield this autumn for another iconic Warehouse Project show. The promoters are hosting the likes of Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, VTSS, Theo Nasa, Charlotte De Witte, Richie Hawtin, Arkane, Helena Hauff, Tigerhead, ØTTA, and more.
These techno and electronic performers will be spread across five stages — Depot, Concourse, Archive, and two floors of the Star & Garter with a ground floor takeover by Berlin broadcaster HÖR. Last year’s XXL featured many of the techno stars who are returning for 2022, including Amelie Lens, Charlotte De Witte, Helena Hauff, and Jeff Mills. The show was accompanied by stunning visual art which captured audiences and enhanced the rave experience.
Let’s be real. When you find yourself in a warehouse party, whether you’re a seasoned raver or newbie to the scene, your body wants to move when you hear that four-on-the-floor techno pulse. Although techno dancing isn’t classically defined in the dance world, its found a niche among underground partygoers. The dance moves can be as free and experimental as the underground scene itself. There’s no judgement. Really, the only expectation is that you’re able to let go of what others think and truly feel the music move your body in fantastic ways.
