NoNameLeft are a Hungarian duo that have been simmering for a while with releases on the likes of Mark Reeve’s SubVision, The YellowHeads’ Reload and Lampé’s Alula Tunes, but it looks like they are starting to reach boiling point with a debut on UMEK’s 1605 that’s too hot to handle.
1605 is the record label of Slovenian techno artist UMEK, and the imprint’s latest release is a new EP from the owner himself. Both tracks are peak time techno that ooze energy to whip the dance floor into a frenzy. Along with UMEK’s own music, 1605 has built up a roster of artists including up-and-coming talent such as Mhi iri, but it also champions the music of established names such as Space 92, Cosmic Boys, The YellowHeads, and Teenage Mutants.
UMEK has made 1605 a regular output for his own tracks, which in the past, he had also been featured on the likes of Christian Smith’s Tronic and Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid. AKKI (DE) is a German techno artist whose latest release is on the Cosmic Boys’ Legend, which has become a regular outlet for his peak-time techno tracks. “Inside My Head” is a solo track release that is in the style AKKI (DE) has become internationally respected for. It has synths laced with euphoria and a pounding kick drum that is underlined by rumbling sub-bass frequencies.
Known best for her links to the Australian club scene, Mha Iri has been a driving force in the country’s techno community. Not only has she dropped numerous releases on 1605, but she has also championed her sound on other respected record labels such as Markantonio‘s AnalyticTrail and Spektre‘s Respekt.
It’s been a little over a year since Sara Simms’ “Finally” ft. JEI was released, and Simmetry Sounds is back with a “Finally” remix pack by Toronto’s Joee Cons.
UMEK’s label 1605 presents the sixth in its Desiderati 4 series. The various artist EP features thumping techno tracks from Rebel Boy, Sam WOLFE, Bruce Zalcer, Lazar (IT) and Loco & Jam.
Space 92 is back on UMEK’s label 1605 with a two-track solo EP after recently featuring on one of the imprints mixed artist releases.
2020 has been a massive year for French artist Space 92 who has dominated sales charts on leading stores such as Beatport. His remix of “Bass In Your Face” by Twins Project spent many weeks at No.1 and he followed this up with an equally successful collaboration with The YellowHeads.
UMEK is back on his label 1605 with another stomping two-tracker titled Intricately, both tracks in his usual style of peak time techno with powerful melodies and thundering percussion.
After recently collaborating with The YellowHeads, this new one is a solo effort from UMEK who remains one of 2020’s best selling techno producers.
