Mixing Art, Science, and Music With DJ and VJ Swim the Shine
Swim the Shine ā DJ and VJ and electronic music producer from Budapest, Hungary is more than just an artist that is faithful to the sounds of melodic and progressive techno but is also an artist with an afinity towards interactive visuals. From playing drums at the opening ceremonies of the London Olympics in 2012 (under the guidance of Rick Smith of Underworld and Danny Boyle), being a finalist in the Moscow Circle of Light VJ Competition, as well as performing in London, Barcelona, Budapest, Montreal, Paris, Freiburg, Porto, and Berlin, Swim the Shine has never lost sight of his vision of sharing his music with others but also creating a space where others can share music together through his collaborative mindset. To Swim the Shine, his creative harmony is best expressed through his talent in audio-visuals, as well as through his label Gun Raven.
Gun Raven is more than just a record label, but is a platform where audio-visualists can have a special space to create their art. Recently, Gun Raven released Swim The Shine’s sophomore EP Stealth Mode ā a three-track EP which includes two remixes by techno royalty, Timo Maas in addition to the original track by Swim the Shine himself. A plus to this EP is that it also comes with music videos. Musically, The EP incorporates many elements of dark, hypnotic, and deep techno that is warped with industrial tones and electrifying intensities. With Timo Maas’s two distinct reinterpretations and Swim the Shine’s original version, listeners will be amazed at how an EP can bring about a certain air of imagination and freedom.

Cyber Vibe Records Is Giving All the Right Tools for Success
This year, Cyber Vibe Records has released many phenomenal tracks from the likes of HassegawaH, Brian G, Da Fokin, X.V, Aisec, the imprint owner Alex Schlatweiler, and many more. From the label, it’s hard to find a track that is ridden with bad quality and bad quantity, and to keep up with this good track record, the label has upcoming quality tracks from Issac Blum‘s Progressive House piece Innerself, as well as more coming from Dozikur, INGVI, Deepaa, amongst many others.
The label is also excited to release Brian G‘s former remix Scripturient from a recent remix competition as well as announce their current remix competition that just launched featuring a Melodic Techno and dancefloor filler Sacramento by NIKMIND. The Reactivitz can be considered as one of those fast-rising artists whose skills and perseverance allowed him to reach the support of the techno music industry. Despite his young age, The Reactivitz scored several charting hits and signed on world-relevant labels including Suara, Intec, Filth On Acid, Octopus, Form, Footwork, and 1605 to name a few. His sound, characterized by dark atmospheres, loud drums, and groovy basslines, has been highlighted by many producers worldwide.
New Look, New Direction With Luca De-santo
Luca De-Santo may be a familiar name to some, this rising star emerged back in 2015 when he gained wide recognition for his signature melodic techno sound. From holding multiple residencies and hosting his own events in his hometown of Glasgow, before venturing out to play the likes of BPM Festival, Warehouse Project, and Amsterdam Dance Event. He landed two Beatport top 20 records after signing to Carl Coxās Intec Digital. Then the pandemic hit in 2020 bringing his career to a halt, but Luca is more than excited to be releasing music again in 2022.
We were lucky enough to invite Luca on for a 6AM Guest Mix to celebrate his return. We also managed to grab Luca for a chat to find out more about his personal journey over the past few years and to talk about his new direction and release on Aether Recordings.
Versus Blaze the British Scene With House and Rave Culture
U.K. duo Versus (aka Dave Skehan and Scott Walker) are blazing a trail through the British club scene and beyond as they have already clocked up releases on world-class labels such as Ultra, Repopulate Mars, Under No Illusion, SOLA, and Realm. Rooted in classic house and rave culture, Versus’ sounds are filled with tracks that range from hypnotic and warehouse.
As of recent, the duo has made their Marylebone Records debut with their single Aināt No Stopping ā a floor-filling, upfront house record with vocals from Ola and a remix backed up by Phonix. The single is a party-starting house cut of the very highest order; with crisp percussion, thunderous low-end, and an uplifting vocal courtesy of Ola. On the remix, Phonix takes things deeper with a syncopated synth line and progressive vibes that provide a subtle and different take on the original.
Elon Musk Drops House Track Music Video
Elon MuskĀ has dropped a music video for hisĀ 2020-released vocal house trackĀ ā”Donāt Doubt Your Vibe”. The video also doubles up as an advert for the entrepreneurāsĀ TeslaĀ business, soundtracked by Muskās progressive house cut, featuring the latest car models Y and 3.
The video was produced by Teslaās China team who prepped the cars and taught them to program their own lighting to put on a light display. The cars put on a mini rave in what appears to be an old warehouse alongside the trackās lyrics which appear behind the Teslas in bright, LED lettering.
