The end of an era for Rotherhithe raving is in sight after Southwark councillors gave the go ahead for Printworks to be redeveloped as offices.
The team behind Printworks, Depot Mayfield, and Tobacco Docks â Broadwick Live & LWE have joined forces for a new space: The Beams, a new clubbing experience that will open doors in October.
Situated in a warehouse that was once part of the Tate & Lyle factory complex, The Beams will span across 55,000 sq feet of space, both indoors and outdoors. The club will be located in East London, close to London City Airport, providing an industrial space for revelers to enjoy music.
The Batman is set to feature techno tracks by Kevin Saunderson, Peggy Gou, Alesso, and Patrick Topping. It’s one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2022.
An official dossier leaked online has revealed the 14-track playlist for the forthcoming film, with two tracks from Gou â unreleased cut âDarkroomâ and 2016âs âTroopâ â as well as âFresh,â a collaboration between techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and Patrick Topping among the picks.
The announcement has struck the industry to its chore, the owners of the iconic venue Printworks have submitted plans to convert into offices. Beginning its musical journey in 2017, hosting numerous events with heavyweight DJs.
Underlining its credentials as one of Europeâs most talked about cultural destinations, Printworks London has announced a monumental Fall/Winter season featuring some of the most groundbreaking and exciting talent today. Printworks will host more than 25 mind-blowing events, welcoming the likes of The Black Madonna, Theo Parrish, Bugzy Malone, Bicep, Nina Kraviz, Chromeo and Deadmau5 to the awe-inspiring venue, with even more nights and acts to be announced.
Printworks opened its 3000 capacity live music space earlier this year to compliment the already iconic, 4000 capacity Press Halls, famous for its electronic club shows. The Fall/Winter Season is set to showcase boundary-pushing live acts as well as key electronic tastemakers. Dedicated to delivering the very best lineups in the UK, Printworks builds upon its short yet already game-changing history with its most ambitious programming to date, cementing its reputation as an unparalleled destination for music enthusiasts.

Printworks and The Hydra‘s new series of events began last weekend in impressive style, with a lineup fitting for Printworksâ eye-catching and imposing main room. Icons the likes of Kerri Chandler and John Talabot headlined a who’s who list that included Amsterdam favorite Job Jobse, Italian disco duo Tiger & Woods and Israeli duo Red Axes.

Opened just last February, Printworks has made a name for itself as one of the hottest new clubs in the London scene. It is also a massive venue at 16 acres and it can hold up to 5,000 people within its premises.
The space, which was formerly a newspaper printing facility, is being described by those behind it as a groundbreaking multipurpose and experimental venue that will offer a wide spectrum of entertainment including music, fashion and film.
Upcoming shows include showcases for Tale of Us’ Afterlife and Ben Klock’s Photon, in addition to star-studded bookings such as Richie Hawtin, The Chemical Brothers and more.
