French artist Submarine FM premiere âCoquillagesâ marks his first single from his upcoming album Crawl. The album is set to release November 20, 2020 via the Slab Note Label. The single will be available on all digital platforms July 22, 2020.
Born in Kiev, Alinka has a unique power on the decks and in the studio. A world traveler, Chicago, Detroit and other European cities that are a staple in electronic music influence her sound and style. Alinka’s “Control Transmission” marks her return to Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels. Her last appearance on the label was in 2016 featuring a collaboration with Shaun J. Wright. Her latest release demonstrates her versatile sound that is inspired by her experience in scenes across the world.
Mark Knight returns to his house music roots, and his most recent track “If It’s Love” goes back to basics with classic house music elements; something he feels has been compromised due to the industry’s fast-paced environment. “Writing songs that have a bit more depth [and] that are really focused on the fundamentals of songwriting: great hooks, great melodies and meaningful lyrics,” explains Knight when talking about the inspiration for his new release. Northern Electronics drops a massive double compilation on May 15th titled Scandinavian Swords IIII: Atlas of Visions. This 40-tracker is the 4th installment in the Scandinavian Swords series.
Showcasing some of the label’s best confidants, Atlas of Visions breaks form from previous releases. Label founders, Anthony Linell and Jonas Rönnberg (aka Varg2TM), have spent the better part of a year putting this together. Expect to hear new artists as well as genre-bending themes throughout.
Lubelski’s Universal Groove LP shows that house music remains the base sauce to electronic music. House music is the universal groove, and the LP’s opening track captures that essence. Universal Groove puts forth a deeper musical direction for Jake Lubell who studied electrical engineering in college. French producer Amadeo Savio is venturing out on his own with his latest EP Isolate that shows off his very real and versatile skills spread across four fresh tracks. This cult minimal house producer has landed himself on some impressive labels so far.
Amadeo sat down with us and chatted about how his love for music started and how it’s grown over time.
Dutch-Chilean producer Ramon Tapia followed in his fatherâs footsteps when he began producing during his teenage years and hasn’t looked back since. His family history is rich and colorful. His father escaped from Pinochetâs Chile, where his own music had incensed the military government making a threat to the government. His two older sisters influenced him greatly and played a key part in his musical formation. On the heels of his release “Last Step” via his imprint Say What?, Ramon embraces his eclectic past and family history to create rich electronic dance music.
andhim will launch their label, Superfriends, on December 5th with the release of their very own Tosch EP.
Superfriends has been a long time coming for the German pair, who have cultivated a strong fan-base worldwide due to their eclectic productions and pin-pointed track selections.
