There are so many interviews that we have done via 6AM group over the years where we ask the music artists what inspires and motivates them to do what they are currently doing or what they want to achieve, and we appreciate all of the answers that come back to us that seem to be authentic. For instance, the answers we get are they are doing it for the love of the music, for the fans, for their family, for the community, or doing it to help the scene grow. Whatever the motive behind it is, those are actually great reasons why they should be doing this. But there are not enough artists that actually boldly say, “Hey look, I’m doing this for myself,” which is more important in actuality.

Being Happy and Content in the Electronic Music Industry

Do you still remember that very first moment when you absolutely fell in love with the music, vibe, and this new scene you have just discovered? To the point where you actually said to yourself (or something of the likes)

“YES!! I finally found my passion (or calling) and THIS is what I want to pursue in life! This is where I am the happiest and I am so excited to have discovered this music and I want to get involved in any way I possibly can!”

Ok maybe not all of you were as enthusiastic like I was but you get the point.

Success. What does it mean anyways?

We live in a world and an era where everyone else’s definition of “success” is rammed down our throats every day, and from an early age too! We grow up having to listen to our parents dictate what they expect from us in order to consider our lives a success. We hear it from school counsellors and from our sports coaches. We hear it from our friends and our significant others. And of course, social media is constantly flashing unrealistic definitions of “success” in front of our eyes with every single swipe of our smartphones.
