Keanu Reeves Gets Into Berghain for Art Show
Imagine dancing inside Berghain and seeing Keanu Reeves getting down to one of the Ostgut Ton residents right next to you. That didn’t quite happen last week, but Keanu Reeves still managed to get into Berghain to enjoy some art.
Now Everyone Can Get Inside Berghain… Thanks to Minecraft
If youâve never made it past the strict bouncers at Berghain (there’s a few of you), you can now take a virtual tour of the Berlin club â in Minecraft.
As CDM states, the âstrangely accurateâ recreation of the club (which was originally posted to the r/technosubreddit) features toilets, coat check, Berghain, SĂ€ule and Panorama Bar dancefloors and even a queue. While there is no garden, the recreation is very accurate, although you won’t find Marcell Dettmann or Ben Klock spinning through your tour.

If getting into Berghain remains a mystery to you, or you haven’t yet had the chance to travel to Berlin yet, perhaps you can console yourself with some of these artist sketches of some of the city’s best-known nightclubs courtesy of artist and writer Whitney Wei.
Wei took her sketchbooks to some of the city’s most known venues, getting around the “no photograph” policy most venues strictly enforce by sketching the sights in front of her instead.
Burgerhain: The Techno-Themed Burger
Blackpool, England, is the home of techno-themed Burgerhain, the food truck so busy servicing burgers and other offerings that it also has quite the line forming up for people trying to experience its offerings.
The owner of Burgerhain is, you guessed it, a techno fan who has visited Berlin and Berghain on many an occasion.
A Movie About Berlin’s Infamous Strict Bouncers Is Scheduled To Come Out
A film about some of Berlin’s notorious bouncers is coming out soon.
The movie, depicting real-life bouncers of Berlin’s nightlife, will tell the story of three famed doormen of Germany’s capital city, including the most recognized face and name of them all: Sven Marquardt of Berghain.
The other two bouncers starring in the film titled Berlin Bouncers include Smiley Baldwin, another employee of Berghain, and Frank KĂŒnster who worked at Delicious Doughnuts and King Size.
The film is due to be screened on February 10th, 11th and 16th at the Berlinale, documenting each of the doorman’s career path into nightlife dating back to the ’80s and passing through the years that have taken us to present day.
A wider release of the film is expected for April of 2019.
Berghain’s notorious strict door police has become the source of too many memes to mention, board games, virtual interactive games and plenty of article features.
