2017 promises to be a great year for techno music with a lot of techno music festivals to watch out for. More so in Europe, where techno music is pretty much a way of life among many people there. Today, we have compiled a list of the 13 techno festivals you should check out this year if ever you plan visiting the continent. For clarification, this list takes into account one-location multi-stage festivals rather than multi-club or venue festivals.

Listen to Robert Hood/Floorplan’s Hip-Hop Set from Weather Festival in Paris

On Saturday, 4th of June 2016, Robert Hood played a specially curated hip-hop set as Floorplan for the crowd at Weather Festival in Paris.

The live recording, which contains music from Nas, Gangstarr, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang Clan and many others, has been made available by the Detroit artist via his SoundCloud.

Techno Pioneer Robert Hood to Play Hip-Hop Set at Weather Festival

Weather Festival released its initial line-up for 2016, and it’s BIG. Nearly 100 names have been announced (with more still to come) for the Parisian festival set to take place from June 3rd through the 5th at Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Center. House and techno is the name of the game with an illustrious roster of acts from both genres featured.

Techno fans can rejoice with such acts as Marcel Dettmann, Richie Hawtin, Magda, DVS1, Len Faki, Ben Klock and RÞdhÄd, while House is brilliantly represented by Dixon, Apollonia, Tuskegee (Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers), The Black Madonna and Ricardo Villalobos just to name a few.

Some other interesting billings include Robert Hood playing a Hip-Hop set, the Hessle Audio trio (Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangea), RPR Soundsystem (Raresh, Petre Inspirescu and Rhadoo) as well as Donato Dozzy and Nuel as Aquaplano.
