The announcement has struck the industry to its chore, the owners of the iconic venue Printworks have submitted plans to convert into offices. Beginning its musical journey in 2017, hosting numerous events with heavyweight DJs.
Opened just last February, Printworks has made a name for itself as one of the hottest new clubs in the London scene. It is also a massive venue at 16 acres and it can hold up to 5,000 people within its premises.
The space, which was formerly a newspaper printing facility, is being described by those behind it as a groundbreaking multipurpose and experimental venue that will offer a wide spectrum of entertainment including music, fashion and film.
Upcoming shows include showcases for Tale of Us’ Afterlife and Ben Klock’s Photon, in addition to star-studded bookings such as Richie Hawtin, The Chemical Brothers and more. In addition, Printworks has also served as a venue to screen movies and even hold a fashion show. Full list of events can be found here.

Not many things are creepier than long-abandoned locations, places long forgotten by time and people. They often exude a sense of foreboding that make them far too eerie for most to visit, yet offer some of the coolest locations to explore and see something different from the norm.
The truth is, however, that some of the world’s abandoned places also make for great venues, especially for raves and warehouse-type parties, not unlike the spaces thousands would flock to during the rave era of the ’80s and ’90s. Whether they need a little touch or some sprucing up is subjective, but we at 6AM like to think of these spaces as amazing potential party locations.
