Singapore Nightlife Reopens After Two Year Hiatus

Authorities in Singapore have announced that the nightlife sector can reopen this month after two years of being shuttered. In January, the country allowed six music venues to stage pilot concerts at full capacity and with no social distancing.

Channel NewsAsia reported that Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Home Affairs announced that the nightlife sector will be allowed to fully reopen on April 19.

NYC Lifting Vax Mandate Starting May 7

Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams has announced that vaccination will no longer be required to attend concerts in the city. Since summer 2021, all entries for gigs have required a vaccination. At a news conference in Times Square, Adams explained that from May 7th, 2022 vaccination status will no longer be required when attending not only concerts, but also restaurants, bars, and gyms.

Adams’ decision came after Gov. Kathy Hochul lifted the state’s business mask mandateĀ in mid-February, andĀ later in the month removed New York’s public school face-covering requirement. As of Monday, New York City restaurants and other indoor venues celebrated, as the Big Apple’s proof of vaccination mandate was lifted.

Vaccinated? You Could Get a Free Lollapalooza Ticket

Vaccinated? Well, you could get a free Lollapalooza ticket. With Chicago having officially reopened, the city is offering locals a brand new incentive to get vaccinated: free Lollapalooza tickets. In a press conference last Friday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that 1,200 single-day passes will be distributed between four different vaccination sites on Saturday, June 26.
