UMEK’s label 1605 is proud to present a new EP from talented Italian artist Mattia Saviolo who has already featured on other trendsetting labels such as Pleasurekraft’s Kraftek and Christian Smith’s Tronic.

Mattia Saviolo is someone who shares little personal info online and instead likes to let his music do the talking, as nothing in techno speaks louder than an exceptional track played at full volume, just as his two originals on this Until The End Part 1 EP do.

UMEK Is Back On His 1605 Imprint with Two-Track “Cybernetic Implant” EP

Guest post by Jamie W

UMEK has put his stamp on electronic music as one of techno’s most influential artists, having a legacy that spans over two decades including many anthemic tracks. His new two track “Cybernetic Implant” release certainly seems to be an example of the aforementioned, as he is currently positioned No.1 in the techno sales chart on Beatport, so is in direct competition with himself to steal pole position.

With a revolving door of new music, it seems he rarely takes a break between releases, and is in constant competition with himself. Always trying to go one up on his previous tracks, in a never-ending cycle of self-improvement.

Premiere: Slovenia’s UMEK Releases Second EP In Two Months, Titled “Vibrancy”

Slovenian DJ and producer UMEK has released Vibrancy, the second EP in as many months on his own 1605 label, out 31st May.

Loosening somewhat, closing track ‘Constellations’ is underpinned by a steady, measured groove.

Slovenia’s UMEK Unleashes Percussionix EP on Carl Cox’s Intec Imprint

For years UMEK has been considered a titan in techno: having started his relentless career in the 90s, he has since been at the forefront of the world’s electronic music scene.

Although there have been subtle changes in his style, consistency of quality has always remained no matter what genre or sub-genre he has put his hand to, and his new release on Carl Cox’s Intec has a definite techno focus with old school percussion loops combined with a beefy synth riff.
