Out Now: Tyler Rouse – Bodachs EP on Something Different Again

Tyler Rouse EXLA

LA-based producer and winner of Insomniac’s Discovery Project, Tyler Rouse, has been hard at work shaping his desired sound. Fresh off a recent European tour and an appearance at Nocturnal Wonderland, Tyler Rouse caps off the end of summer with a strong three-track EP on the label, Something Different Again.

The Bodachs EP finds a hospitable home on Something Different Again. The label has released the EP’s from artists such as Lee Guthrie, Kike Henriquez, and S-Ampel, and is continually supported by major international DJ’s.

Early feedback has been favorable for the Bodachs EP, receiving support from Darin Epsilon, Lee Guthrie, DC-10 mainstay, Sossa, and the Music On don himself, Marco Carola. The title track, Bodachs, is filled with energy relying on an extended breakdown and an acidic bassline that pulls the listener into a firm groove. Murkoff takes things in a melodic direction, but still maintains the techno edge that Rouse attempts to convey in his music. The EP ends with Reconstruct, a dub influenced techno workout that seems more than appropriate for late nights on dark dance floors.

Bodachs EP is currently available on Beatport and Traxsource.
