The Big Boom of Bad Boombox
Bad Boombox was born in Bulgaria, raised in the USA, and currently based between Prague, Czech Republic and Sofia, Bulgaria. The Bad Boombox project emerged in Berlin back in 2019, and grew online via funny content and music/mixes during the pandemic. Currently he’s on tour at clubs around Europe, looking to expand. His mission: add the color and fun back to the techno/dance scene like it was in the 90s/2000s.

AKKI (DE) is a German techno artist whose latest release is on the Cosmic Boysâ Legend, which has become a regular outlet for his peak-time techno tracks. âInside My Headâ is a solo track release that is in the style AKKI (DE) has become internationally respected for. It has synths laced with euphoria and a pounding kick drum that is underlined by rumbling sub-bass frequencies.
Jon Hopkins Unveils Psychedelic Art Installation Called “Dreamachine”
Grammy and Mercury-nominated composer Jon Hopkins has soundtracked a touring art installation called “Dreamachine” that induces hallucinations and tripping in the minds of its viewers.

An extraordinary but little-known 1959 invention by artist and inventor Brion Gysin inspired Dreamachine. His experimental homemade device used flickering light to create vivid illusions, kaleidoscopic patterns and explosions of color within the mind.
Gysin envisioned that his invention would replace televisions. Instead of passive consumers of mass-produced media, viewers of his Dreamachine would create their own cinematic experiences.

Jon Hopkins and his team of neuroscientists, architects and philosophers have breathed new life into Gysin’s invention. Similar to Hopkins’s latest work, Music For Psychedelic Therapy, this new project uses ambient music from the artist as a soundtrack to the experience, which researchers called “stroboscopically induced visual hallucinations.”

Matasism Blends Trance Elements With Hard Hitting Techno
Italian-American producer Matasism, debuts on BPitch with his four-track EP Can You Feel My Soul. Matasism launched his own label MaÌtaÌsism in 2017, releasing exclusively via the platform until very recently. The title track of the EP is a high energy, hypnotic driving track with a trance like twist.
