Premiere: Belgium’s Tom Hades Drops Four-Track EP on the Eclectic Dutch Planet Rhythm Imprint

As we undertake our journey through the second half of 2018, so does Belgian producer and DJ Tom Hades, whose recent musical output has been nothing short of extraordinary. So far he has released solo EPs on OFF Recordings and Loose Records whilst also pushing out remixes for imprints such a SUBFIGURE, Unknown Territory and Filth On Acid.

Setting his sights on his next solo EP, Tom looks towards the Netherlands based Planet Rhythm to release the 4-tracker. Established in 1994, Planet Rhythm has consistently played an important role in the discovery of new and emerging Techno acts, releasing producers such as Matrixxman, Woo York amongst many more. Instilling a philosophy that ‘Techno is too big of a concept to limit itself to one approach’, it’s clear to see how Tom Hades fits alongside the current catalogue of artists.

Premiere: Tom Hades Remixes Highest Point’s “Apogee” on Subfigure

Following a blistering start to 2018, Tom Hades releases another statement of intent with his remix of Highest Point’s ‘Apogee’. Featuring on a four-track EP, Hades’ remix delivers 7-minutes of peak-time madness. Having released on a host of Techno based labels, he now makes his debut on the London based, Subfigure.

As with all of Hades’ productions, the remix sets the tone from the start. Kicking off with pounding kick drums and the straight down the line bass, that Tom has become well known for producing. Injecting a more industrial feel to ‘Apogee’, Hades’ allows the original vocal sample to echo out during the breakdown before taking things up a gear and once again delivering the forceful low end.

Recon EP is released February 23rd through Filth On Acid and is available via Beatport
