Joachim Spieth’s latest vinyl work is pure cinematic bliss.
Scheduled for April 15th vinyl release, Astral Plane is a three-track EP that fits perfectly with the spatial and textural soundscape that his Affin label has gotten listeners accustomed to. Ambient, hypnotic and cerebral, all three tracks within Astral Plane are the ideal material for opening sets, or those moments when the rabbit hole gets real deep
“Mantra techno and cinematic textures opening up rooms…”
Out of Place records from Croatia, ran by Insolate and Volster, comes out strong with their 5th release.
For the first time on the label, Out of Place welcomes absolute quality original tracks from mysterious Berliner Janice, Venezuelan secret weapon Michel Lauriola, and Croatian wunderkind Neznan, as well as this fantastic contribution from label owner Insolate herself — a high-energy trippin tool techno piece perfect for peak-time dance floor moments

Voltage Festival has managed to build a solid reputation in only 4 years, becoming an indispensable part of the (inter)national electronic underground scene.
In the physical world, a Rebar is an object, often used to reinforce concrete. In the world of music, however, Rebar is the joint venture of the label-heads of “made of CONCRETE” and the self-titled “Rebar“ imprint.
On 1st February 2019, Rebar released Lost In New York, the second EP on their self-titled label, at the same celebrating the 4 Year Anniversary of the launch of made of CONCRETE.
Rebar is a duo composed of Jens Nicolao and Andreas Pionty whose Rebar label is meant as a space for their own sound explorations, aimed at putting forward releases which combine their usual style with cross-boundary composition.
With this release they continue their geography-infused musical journey. While the first release unveiled the majestic anthropophony of Tokyo, this second release is centered around the city of New York. As in the previous offering, the three tracks all pertain to different styles, exploring different facets of electronic music, all the while carrying the common sound print of the American metropolis. Both releases are based on field recordings they did in the particular city, later combined with the atmosphere and vibe we felt.
Recognizing the exceptional work Rebar have been doing as producers and label owners, we asked them to provide this week’s Guest Mix, as well as for the chance to sit down for an exclusive chat to learn more about their projects.
The Guest Mix is a live recording of a recent vinyl-only set close to Dresden, Germany.
This week’s Global Vibe Radio episode is truly a global one, as we welcome French producer, DJ, live artist, label owner and promoter Antoine Husson aka Electric Rescue to the 6AM family.
Antoine is as prolific as they come in the studio, his catalogue spanning various aliases and featuring releases on labels such as Affin, Cocoon, Bedrock, Sci+Tec, Sleaze Records, Soma Records and many more. You’ll notice the variety of soundscapes these labels highlight, which further goes to underscore Antoine’s versatility both in the studio and in front of a live audience.
His latest work comes in the form of the launch of Obverse Records, a new techno-focused imprint which debuted with his very own First Obverse EP, out February 1st of this year and featuring remixes by Ø [Phase] and Stanislav Tolkachev.
Enjoy this recording of his recent January 11th, 2019 set at I-Boat in Bordeaux, and read on for our exclusive interview with Antoine as well as track listing!
Soil Records retrieves the vinyl as a format with a third reference that confirms the homogeneity and balance in this series of releases. Soil revalidates its commitment to properly structured plurality and grants this division of the catalog the most dynamic temperament of the collection.
Kombinat’s third release Constitution Hill comes from London based Irish producer Niamh who marks her first EP with a four-track collection of driving, tripped out sounds.
Nodding to her roots in Dublin’s electronic music scene which paved the way to her discovery of the rowdier side of techno which she currently revels in, this EP celebrates the beginning of her journey in production which initially started near Constitution Hill in Dublin and continues to evolve here in London.

In this week’s episode of Global Vibe Radio, we present a live set recording from Club Space, Miami, courtesy of New York City DJ/producer Avision.
Fortunate to grow up around the rich club culture of NYC and influenced by the sounds around him, Avision now finds himself helping to usher in a new wave of techno for the New York scene. Over the last year, he’s had releases on a range of influential labels like Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave, Ben Sims’ Hardgroove & Machine, Pan Pot’s Second State, Mark Broom’s Beardman Records, Carl Cox’s Intec, Cassy’s Kwench Records, Victor Calderone’s Matter+, On Edge Society, and Inmotion LTD.
Avision started young on the turntables at age 12, and his preference for a more mature sound lead to his first residency in New Jersey by the time he was 15. Recent touring highlights include gigs at The Brooklyn Mirage, Output, Flash Factory, Schimanski and the Mixmag Lab in NYC, Stereo in Montreal, Nest in Toronto, Space & Heart in Miami, as well as festivals like Amsterdam Dance Event, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and Electric Zoo. Avision’s legacy is growing through club land like a supernova exploding in the farthest reaches of our galaxy…and he’s just getting started.
Today we present to you a live recording from his recent set at Club Space, in Miami, where he shared the stage with Victor Calderone, as well as an exclusive interview which you can read below.
Catch Avision perform at Shimanski in New York City on March 30th as part of Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave showcase. Tickets and info can be found here.
