Listen to Over 128 Hours of Sets from BPM 2016

The BPM Festival has come and gone, and many are left with the fond memories provided by the spectacular location and music from Playa del Carmen. From the vast showcases to all the world renowned artists, there was a musical experience for anyone regardless of ones taste in underground music. Many had the pleasure of journeying to Mexico for BPM to experience this in real time, but the vast majority are left to live vicariously through Be-at.tv or wait for the recorded sets to go live online.

With BPM 2016 officially in the books, we’ve compiled a playlist of as many sets from the festival as possible. Have a listen to some of our favorites below, and check out the BPM playlist for over 128 hours of grooves from 80 artists.

To be honest – there’s no bad setting to witness Apollonia in action, but BPM yields particularly excellent results.

Monday Social Announces Move to New Venue

freddy mnsAfter 2 and a half years at Sound Nightclub, LA’s iconic weekly party, the one & only Monday Social, has announced it will be moving a few blocks down Hollywood Blvd to Project Club LA for it’s grand re-opening next Monday January 18th.

Monday Social said farewell to their residency at Sound this week and they did it right with a special set from Doorly & friends: MK, Justin Jay and Low Steppa. The club was packed with Monday Social fans paying their tributes. Read more

It was another dynamic year for Moon Harbour Recordings with the last twelve months seeing tremendous releases from their entire roster. For one of the last releases of 2015, Cuartero comes back to Moon Harbour after his debut release a year ago with WaFF.

The “Shadow EP” is complete with robust and punchy kicks, warm garage basslines, and organic percussions giving it a quintessential sound that Cuartero has established for himself throughout his musical career. His latest work on Moon Harbour solidifies this sound, and is sure to find it’s way onto many dance floors in the New Year.

SXMusic Festival Phase 2 Joined by Apollonia, Kenny Glasgow, Maceo Plex and more

Fat Sushi’s EP “Hana” Released on Suara

Fat Sushi have surely had a busy summer, with remixes for Fritz Kalkbrenner out on Suol and Get Physical. Next, they deliver two original tracks on Coyu’s famed Suara label garnering the support of Pete Tong who premiered this past weekend on his Weekend Hot Mix on BBC Radio 1.

No strangers to the Spanish imprint, the Swiss duo received praise for their hugely successful Warehouse EP, charting #2 on Beatport and receiving play by acts such as andhim, Marco Carola, Maya Jane Coles and Nicole Moudaber to name a few. 

Their undisputed talent and combined twenty-plus year experience undoubtedly shine through in their latest EP “Hana”. Ready for dance floors world over, both Hana and Paia deliver heavy bass lines and drawn-out synths in true Fat Sushi fashion. The two tracks complement each other while remaining stand-out pieces in their own right, filled with pronounced hi-hats and elevated melodic elements that form a truly complete EP.

Coyu Celebrates 200th Release on Suara

Q&A: In The Loop with Lupe Fuentes

Through rising support from industry heavyweights, and through her imprint In The Loop, Lupe Fuentes is making her mark on the dance community. In The Loop is currently building it’s early discography with releases from Lupe herself, as well as releases from Francis Kasibante, Jack Cousteau, and Skywalker. As the year comes to a close, Lupe Fuentes gears up for another release coming in the form of the tech house roller that is 1,000 Watts. Complete with feelings of dance floor elation, the track employs a unique vocal sample that plays off the crisp percussion that is designed exactly for the dance floor.
