Video Recap – Taken LA with Hot Since 82

Earlier this year, Hot Since 82 attempted to break the mold of a traditional club night with his “Taken” Party Concept. Hot Since 82 initiated the concept in London, but it eventually made it’s way to the United States in New York and Los Angeles.

Thump reports that the New York edition didn’t quite meet expectations (mostly due to a long bus ride that eventually lost it’s kidnapping charm), but does credit Hot Since 82 for brightening spirits with his musical programming once everyone arrived at the event.

While not much has been heard about the Los Angeles installment, the video sure does look convincing. Attendees appear to have been picked up at Sound Nightclub in Hollywood, and were then transported to a rather large warehouse venue in which Hot Since 82 started laying into deep techno cuts for the evening.

Hot Since 82 Brings ‘Taken’ Party to Los Angeles

You’re going to be blindfolded, disoriented, and anxious. We know this doesn’t sound like an ideal situation under any normal circumstances, but then again
these aren’t normal circumstances. Hot Since 82 is bringing his ‘Taken’ style event to the United States, with a stop in non-other than Los Angeles on May 23rd.

TAKEN aims to gather like-minded fans and party-goers, blindfold them, and transport them to an undisclosed location somewhere in Los Angeles. Hot Since 82 is paying homage to the old rave days where finding the party was always an adventure, and a rewarding one at that. The Los Angeles installment of TAKEN should be quite the adventure with one epic party at the end of the tunnel.

TAKEN is a private event with limited availability. For those interested, head over to TAKEN – Los Angeles and register for a chance to attend the event. An interesting concept, and surely one that breaks the mold of the typical club nights.
