New German Label Mnestic Records Debuts PRG/M and Mod21 on Hypnotic-Deep Album “Are We on the Run?”

Based out of Leipzig, Germany, the newly established 2022 techno label releases their digital and 12” vinyl album Are We on the Run? with 5 hypnotically-deep tracks. U.S. toy maker Mattel has launched a new American Girl doll that produces electronic music. Named Kavi Sharma, the doll can be purchased with a music-making setup, including a functioning keyboard with a synthesizer, wind and brass settings, a drum pad, a laptop displaying music software, a microphone, and DJ-style headphones. All the accessories can be “linked up”, with the laptop coming with an extendable chord that can be plugged into the mic stand or light-up drum pad.

The Moog House of Electronicus: Coming to Los Angeles this Week

Moog Music will be in Los Angeles this week presenting the Moog House Of Electronicus, an electronic pop-up and synth guided exploration of the power of sound. Located on the grounds of the historic Kim Sing Theater in Chinatown, the Moog House Of Electronicus will be open to the public daily from January 24 – 30. Visitors will have the opportunity to get hands on with Moog synths (including the new polyphonic Moog One), and explore the deeper dimensions of sonic experience through interactive sculptural synthesis installations, an immersive audio visualization system, and daily synthesizer workshops led by synthesist Bana Haffar.

Enjoy a 360Âș Tour of Roland’s Private Museum in Japan

Are you a gear fanatic that salivates at the site of classic Roland hardware?

If the answer is yes, or you’re just curious to see what 28 years of Roland gear history looks like in one room, you’ve come to the right place! Instead of traveling all the way to Japan, you can now enjoy unobstructed 360Âș vies inside Roland’s private museum in Hamamatsu.

The tour is split into sections, with the guide walking the viewer through an impressive range of Roland products released between 1972 and 2000. The tour includes synthesizers, drum machines, classic pianos and anything else Roland released during that time period.
