Premiere: Saytek Reveals New EP Series: Live On Tour
After the success of his DR. Motte Birthday Party Live Jams EP (recorded at the Love Parade founder’s Birthday party) last year, which was supported by the likes of Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Karotte, Joseph Capriati, Kolsch and more, live artist Saytek reveals his first release for 2020 by way of a brand new EP series on Cubism Records inspired by the release titled, Live On Tour.
Featuring a selection of fresh jams recorded live at Awakenings (ADE), The Hammahalle of Sisyphos (Berlin) and the Basement Of Chapue Rogue (Prague), ‘Live On Tour Volume 1’ captures the intoxicating raw energy of Saytek’s performances with five new vibrant improvisations that organically flow with Techno, House and Breakbeat vibes.
Premiere: Saytek Unleashes Colossal “Live Stories” Album Via Detone Records
Since his explosion on to the scene with his acclaimed Machine Jams album on Cubism two years ago, Saytek’s live output has been hugely prolific with highlights including multiple EPs on Superfreq, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS and Darren Emerson’s Detone label.
Now deemed to ramp up the heat for 2018, the live techno pioneer is back with another colossal album for the label titled Live Stories, now available to listen and buy here. By far his most innovative work to date, Saytek has crafted 12 new cutting edge live jams created on the fly using a hybrid of analog and digital gear. ‘Live Stories’ seems him explore fresh sounds and push sonic boundaries from the menacing to the melodic through his inquisitive love of technology, whilst embracing the panoramic musical spectrum of techno, acid and house music.

Following his highly acclaimed ‘Doppelganger EP’ on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, Saytek continues to wow the dance music fraternity with his innovation and prowess, trailblazing his way on to playlists of the world’s DJ elite with his signature live jams. As 2017 gathers pace, the latest top dog to be seduced by Saytek’s magic is Detone label boss Darren Emerson, who has snapped up no less than 13 tracks for a series of EP releases. ‘Saytek Live Vol.1’ contains 6 cutting edge live jams that authentically join the dots between Techno and House, traveling between raw acid rubbed grooves, dark, hypnotic pulsating loops and sophisticated, enchanting melodies.

This week’s GVR is a two-hour LIVE recording by London-based producer and live act Saytek.
He was a special guest on our Facebook page this past Sunday, where he jammed out LIVE from his studio in London for two hours, all music and sounds created by Saytek himself. The North London-based producer is renowned for his unique ability to bring his widely acclaimed studio productions – which feature a unique blend of deep techno & tough house grooves and dubby, acidic hues – into the live arena. This ability is exemplified by his Facebook Live Jams which have received views well in excess of one million; and views for individual videos often running into the hundreds of thousands. He writes produces and performs everything live, using a variety of equipment including Elektron Analog 4 & Analog Rtym, Ableton, Korg: Monotron Delay, Kaos Pad & Volca: Bass, Sample, Keys, Novation Impulse 25, Native Instruments Maschine and lots more.
Saytek’s musical output is prolific and includes EPs and live albums on his own Cubism label, along with 12″ and digital releases on labels such as Liebe*Detail, Soma, Bedrock, My Favorite Robot Records, Wiggle, Monique Musique, Fabric (London Club), Golden Gate Club Records, My Favourite Freaks, KMS and many more. His work has graced the playlists of the world’s most elite and eminent DJs including Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler and Marcel Dettman, among many. Saytek was nominated for 2013 Best Live Act by DJ Mag; with Mixmag awarding Album Of The Month in the same year.
