Born out of Boston, DuBeats is a funky/soulful deep house act run by Dan Williams. After cycling through many aliases Dan started the DuBeats project in 2012. Both on the East and West Coasts, DuBeats has held multiple club residencies along with providing top-notch support for the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Fouk, Heidi, Egyptian Lover among others. After relocating to San Diego in 2017, DuBeats reunited with the Staybad crew and helped to pioneer the House2Ourselves events at Spin Nightclub. He chatted with 6AM about his latest EP Is it Something, the growing electronic music scene in San Diego, and how house music touches the soul.

CRSSD Announces Paula Temple, Moodymann, Kobosil, Sven VĂ€th & Robert Hood for Fall 2021 Edition

CRSSD Festival will make its long-awaited return to San Diego’s Waterfront Park for its Fall 2021 edition taking place September 25-26th. The festival today unveiled its phase one line-up for the Fall Edition, dropping more than thirty names that criss-cross the breadth and history of dance music. ElezD and Ophanim Blend Techno & Trance to Deliver ‘Conjunction’

Two of San Diego’s renowned producers ElezD and Ophanim (aka Horge) bring you their newest track, “Conjunction.” The track is part of an EP slated to be released on May 21, 2021 via the Chile-based label Playoff Records. ElezD will also feature “Bunker Hours” to complete the Conjunction EP. This past December both artists were working on this project amid the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. San Diego’s FNGRS CRSSD goes from day to night, and from outdoors to indoors for the massively stacked NGHT MVS XL scheduled for June 23rd at the Sails Pavilion and Terrace.

The event, which is scheduled to go until 3am will take place at the San Diego Convention Center, and features a who’s who lineup filled with hot names, legends and talented newcomers alike.

CRSSD Announces Groundwater, New San Diego Festival ft. Disclosure, Dusky & Damian Lazarus

A new festival will be taking place in San Diego this coming fall courtesy of FNGRS CRSSD, the promoters behind the now hugely successful bi-annual CRSSD Festival.

The two-day event is called Groundwater and will take place on October 29th and 30th at the city’s downtown Petco Park. The event will be very similar to CRSSD, with day and after-parties to be announced, a strict 21+ crowd and a lineup that focuses on the more underground sounds of electronic music.

The bill for the inaugural Groundwater festival includes a DJ set by British UK garage duo Disclosure, house masters Dusky, the globe-trotting Damian Lazarus, Dirtybird sounds from Justin Martin and Hannah Wants, as well as Lane 8, Break and more. Check out the full list of artists below.

CRSSD Festival Releases Fall 2016 Lineup

It’s here! The minds behind CRSSD Festival have released the complete lineup for their Fall 2016 edition.

Set to take place on October 1st and 2nd in San Diego’s Waterfront Park, CRSSD will be celebrating their fourth festival outing in two years, returning for the second time to the oceanfront of the South California city in the fall.

Earlier this year in March, CRSSD sold out with a line-up that brought internationally-known names such as Cirez D, Maceo Plex, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones and Odesza. This year, they return with a similar selection of underground house and techno artists mixed up with indie electronic acts.

Some of this fall’s top acts include Flight Facilities, Miike Snow, Lee Burrdige, DJ Harvey, Felix da Housecat, Zhu, Cashmere Cat, Shiba San, Bonobo, Lido, Maya Jane Coles, Claptone and Dubfire.
