Sacha Robottiâs Slothacid imprint continues to carve an impressive niche for itself by providing a platform for tomorrowâs talent with another weighty release, this time in the shape of the acid-tinged Daemon EP by the mysterious Eights Everywhere.
The latest outing on Sian’s Octopus Recordings sees Sacha Robotti and mysterious producer Who Is Hush combine forces for a banging three-track EP titled 2020 Vision, out this week and now available on Beatport.
Not content with a collection of critically acclaimed releases under his belt on labels like Dirtybird, Octopus Records and This Ainât Bristol, Sacha Robotti has been building a solid reputation as one of the sceneâs most proficient producers and a firm festival favourite across North America. However, all that was merely preparation for whatâs still to come and 2019 looks to be his biggest year yet as he announces the imminent launch of his own record label â Slothacid â with a devasting four-track EP and an extended open-close tour concept that will see him showcase the Slothacid sound across 24 dates all over North America this fall.
Not one to do things by halves, the triple announcement from Sacha lays out his plans for the foreseeable with a focus on homegrown projects which truly demonstrate his inimitable sound and dedication to the Sloth brand that is now synonymous with the veteran producer. The first step in this plan came to fruition on July 17th with the first single from the imprintâs debut EP, Welcome To Slothaciâ â a four-track tour-de-force in how to do low-slung warehouse beats and the first single, “Tail Of A Siren” is a serious statement of intent to set the scene.
The Sloth Sanctuary: Part I is the introduction to Sacha Robotti’s 2018 residency at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles, CA.
The series will kick off on June 23rd and will see Sacha embark on an all night, open-to-close journey, presented by Sound Nightclub and Slothacid, Sacha’s coined brand. Click here for more info on the night, including tickets.
