Since the 90s, young, impressionable Brits far and wide have been inspired by the burgeoning underground scene of the U.K. where garage, DnB, jungle and more reign supreme. While he has since largely deviated from those sounds, the indelible Dax J is no stranger to returning to his roots. Despite being one of the most sought-after names in techno these days, Dax can still surprise crowds, as he did with his 19-track compilation Soul Enforcer LP to benefit the ongoing Ukrainian crisis. There is no doubt that Dax J, born Dax Heddon, has built one of the most dedicated fan bases in all of modern-day techno. His roots run deep; Dax began DJing on pirate radio stations and going crate-digging every week in his hometown. Over a decade later, and he’s headlining a jet setting performer, curating his own Monnom Black label party in collaboration with notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor at Amsterdam Dance Event.

Los Angeles native Annika Wolfe has had a booming career over the last few years, and is ready to keep on rolling into 2021 and beyond. Filled with rhythmic, deep and raw techno and not afraid to venture into New Wave or Punk it is hard to classify their sound into just one sub-genre. Along with being featured on blogs such as The Brvtalist and Deep House Amsterdam, Annika also runs their own imprint Akela Recordings. 6AM is honored to have Annika play REFORM this upcoming Labor Day. They sat down with 6AM to answer a few questions
Jeniluv got her start in the 90’s rave scene of Los Angeles, but went up north to San Francisco in 1998 for school and the club life. There she held residences in various clubs for almost a decade. In 2006 she returned to LA and teamed up with SONNS to help re-ignite the warehouse rave scene with their Making Shapes parties.

The debut of the REFORM brand is scheduled to take place on September 1st, Sunday of Labor Day Weekend 2019. The event is split into two uniquely programmed events at two distinct locations in Los Angeles, for what will be a total of 15 hours of high quality, diverse techno.
