The release date of this record, was supposed to be the celebration of PoleGroup’s 10th Anniversary with a massive weekend party at Tresor Berlin… but it is not. Things have made a twist and as you may have perceived there is not much to celebrate together, physically, as the label likes celebrations to be done. There will be days to celebrate whenever we can gather together again. In the meanwhile enjoy this slice of vinyl.
Premiere: Group and Reeko Unite Forces for Split EP on 30D Records Sublabel Eyes Have It
Sei tracce in nero is the perfect title to describe the second release of 30D Recordsâ sub-label Eyes Have It. Produced by Group and Reeko, two renowned artists, with a long trajectory and larger discography, this 6-track EP itâs a record both dark, intriguing, and equally captivating.
The EP is divided into 2 parts, clearly defined but with a common denominator: both Reeko and Group are the perfect example of artists who, even not considered to belong to the dark industrial scene, posses an entrancing ability to craft tracks which sound way more unsettling and contemporary than most of the artists in that scene, not and easy achievement!
Reeko vs Architectural: Juan Rico’s Split Personality
Born in Oviedo (Asturias) in 1981, Juan Rico is a creative force who has rapidly attained international recognition as both Reeko and Architectural. Holding an innate and incredible capacity to be prolific, alongside a relentless obsession for perfection, Juan Rico uses a variety of aliases to release the diverse artistic sensations that flow through him, each pseudonym possessing various characteristics that unveil his personalities.
Although he marks his âbirthâ as a DJ in 1997, it wasnât until his first release in 2002, under the Swedish label Emergence, that he became known professionally. Ascending from Juan Rico are both Reeko and Architectural: two completely different sides of the same coin, two vastly contrasting personalities that play equally important roles in the character and creativity of Juan Rico.

Juan Rico, the Asturian known in the techno scene as Reeko, has been DJing since 1997 although it was in 2002 that the world got a first taste of his production skills when he introduced himself professionally with a debut release on Sweden’s Emergence imprint.
While Reeko may be his best-known alias, the Spanish techno producer has made music and played under a series of monikers, as evidenced by his latest EP entitled Cubismo, released under his Architectural alias. Over the years Reeko has also been involved with a series of label projects, including Mental Disorder and Evidence, all before finding his home amongst the elite of Hispanic techno with PoleGroup.
In fact, Reeko was given the honors of compiling PoleGroup’s Unknown Landscapes: Vol. IV, a CD mix series of unreleased tracks, mixed and compiled by a member of the label’s roster. The Spanish producer and track selector has selected 22 previously unreleased tracks including work by label favorites Exium, Kwartz, Jonas Kopp, Pfirter and Oscar Mulero, as well as new faces on the imprint such as Reggy van Oers, DJ Hyperactive, Unbalance and Kangding Ray. The release features two tracks by Reeko himself, including “Basic Sentence” which is being premiered exclusively by 6AM today.
PoleGroup Announces Unknown Landscapes Mix Vol. IV: Selected and Mixed by Reeko
Oscar Mulero’s Spanish techno label PoleGroup has announced the release of the fourth of installment of their CD mix series Unknown Landscapes: a compilation of unreleased tracks, mixed and compiled by a member of the PoleGroup platform.
The honors for Vol. IVÂ go to none other than Juan Rico, or Reeko as he is more commonly known. The Spanish producer and track selector has selected 22 previously unreleased tracks including work by label favorites Reeko, Exium, Kwartz, Jonas Kopp, Pfirter and Oscar Mulero, as well as new faces on the imprint such as Reggy van Oers, DJ Hyperactive, Unbalance and Kangding Ray.
The compilation comes as a 74 minute long non-stop mix produced by Reeko and filled with a powerful selection of high-quality techno from one of the world’s leading labels in the genre. The entire mix is an eventful journey through timeless techno, allowing the listener to visit a series of unknown and mysterious soundscapes strung together seamlessly by a master of Reeko’s quality.
As an additional feature for the Unknown Landscapes series, the chosen selector will choose 4 tracks at the most from the CD for an exclusive vinyl release. In this edition, Juan Rico has chosen music from Unbalance, Mike Parker, Lussuria and Reeko. The CD Mix and digital download are slated for Deceber 9th release, whereas the special release vinyl will be available on January 13th.

For the first time ever, the CD, which is limited to 250 copies, will come in a special new packaging, including a poster and will be only available via the PoleGroup bandcamp page.
