Printworks & Drumsheds Behind New London Club

The team behind Printworks, Depot Mayfield, and Tobacco Docks — Broadwick Live & LWE have joined forces for a new space: The Beams, a new clubbing experience that will open doors in October.

Situated in a warehouse that was once part of the Tate & Lyle factory complex, The Beams will span across 55,000 sq feet of space, both indoors and outdoors. The club will be located in East London, close to London City Airport, providing an industrial space for revelers to enjoy music.

The 5,000 capacity Printworks will raise the bar again in Spring 2019 with another carefully curated and innovative series featuring more than 70 artists across 12 huge shows. From January through to the end of March, world-class artists like Ghostface Killah, Roni Size, Derrick Carter, Jocelyn Brown, Cassius, Gorgon City, Eats Everything, Floorplan, Joy Orbison, D Bridge, Calibre, Kerri Chandler, Polo & Pan and many more will all play at the famous venue, with many more shows to be announced in the New Year.

Gorillaz Are Back: See Photos and Videos from their Printworks London Gig

On Friday night Gorillaz returned back to the live stage with a comeback performance at Printworks in London. The band’s first onstage performance in five years came just twenty-four hours after the announcement of their new LP, Humanz. Damon Albarn and co. performed the forthcoming album in full, bringing out the many collaborators on it to the stage including De La Soul, Pusha T, Danny Brown, Kelela, Savages’ Jehnny Beth, Albarn’s Blur bandmate Graham Coxon, and even former Oasis rivalNoel Gallagher

On top of playing each track on Humanz, Gorillaz also played some of their classic hits, such as “Feel Good Inc.” with De La Soul”, “Clint Eastwood” with Del the Funky Homosapien, “Don’t Get Lose in Heaven”, and “Demon Days.”
