Premiere: Andre Lodemann and Fabian Dikof Remix Fred Everything’s Single “By day” on Lazy Day Recordings

The 2nd single from Fred Everything‘s 4th album, coming out June 21st. This time, featuring the beautiful vocals of South African singer Sio, a close collaborator of Jullian Gomes and Atjazz Records Company. Fred Remixed Jullian & Sio’s 1000 Memories last year (alongside Atjazz, Osunlade and Karizma) and the track won Best Song of The Year at last year’s South Africa Dance Music Awards.

For the original, Sio and Fred wanted to do something a little different so they went in a Broken Beat territory, focussing on the soul of Sio’s voice and adding Rhodes and Live Strings to the arrangements.

On remix duty, Andre Lodemann and his new partner Fabian Dikof worked their magic, turning the track into a deeper late night number with less instrumentations and vocals, concentrating on the dance floor. As a bonus, there’s a brand new ReVersion of the original where Fred sampled part of the original for a quirky house version. Instrumentals are also included.

Premiere: Tom Hades Remixes Highest Point’s “Apogee” on Subfigure

Following a blistering start to 2018, Tom Hades releases another statement of intent with his remix of Highest Point’s ‘Apogee’. Featuring on a four-track EP, Hades’ remix delivers 7-minutes of peak-time madness. Having released on a host of Techno based labels, he now makes his debut on the London based, Subfigure.

As with all of Hades’ productions, the remix sets the tone from the start. Kicking off with pounding kick drums and the straight down the line bass, that Tom has become well known for producing. Injecting a more industrial feel to ‘Apogee’, Hades’ allows the original vocal sample to echo out during the breakdown before taking things up a gear and once again delivering the forceful low end.

Premiere: Listen to Darlyn Vlys’ “Mustang” from Forthcoming “Prince in the Rain” LP on SINCOPAT

Last year brought us revival of a masterpiece as Blade Runner, North Korea continued playing war, Planet Earth witnessed once again the destruction brought on by hurricanes like Harvey… but it was also a pretty hectic year for Darlyn Vlys.

“I became a father of twins when I already had a 2-year-old baby, precisely whose photo appears on the cover of this LP my child’s face and his expression, I see myself 100%% reflected in him when I was a kid”

In spite of the sacrifice that double and fabulous surprise life brought him, 2017 also became a very creative and productive journey.
