SubXtOrt returns to Format RecordingsĀ for the politically charged and musically diverse Harsh DualityĀ EP. Forged amidst the social awakening and reckoning of Americaās future, this EP spans four tracks that each explores a different sonic aesthetic.
Gioh Cecato, a resident and DJ in Miami whoās set to unveil her most recent EP titled Escape From Reality on Descend Records, a label she has a close affinity with having released an album on the imprint previously.
“Escape From Reality” opens up the EP and sets a fine scene with blistering synths shooting over warped bass and drums. It’s astral techno with cinematic detail. “Mental Diversion” then kicks up a real storm with its brutal grooves and dark, shadowy atmospheres all running through with hammering percussion. “Destination” is a whip snapping affair with slashing synth and razor sharp hi hats that again make for a dystopian, futuristic vibe that has you left in awe. The Tony Romanello remix is a hulking great track with a wall of techno kicks and blistering synths.

The track entitled āLockdown’ is a standout piece, showcasing the artist’s darker side of melodic techno as unsettling arpeggios and cold industrial synths communicate over a forward marching groove and pulsing bass.
Trent Cantrelle’s “Originate” drips dark disco vibes and is a proper late-night heater. The track is suitable for either a sunset desert setting or in the underground confines of a warehouse. A hypnotic vocal intertwines with an industrial soundscape, a sick pulsing bassline, and a signature snare. You also can’t overlook the acid house combining for a masterfully tripped out and late-night sound. Read more

In this time of Social Media futileness, true music is a rare species, promotional wise. But here we still trust the power of music and the amounts of hours spent in the studio. This is the case with this MasCon project, where he twists and mangle his tools extensively to produce pieces of timeless advanced dance music, and we are really happy to premiere it.
Vladw combines magical and textured sounds in Timoshenko, his third EP. The three-track body of music features a remix of “Timoshenko” from the artistĀ Kuf.
