It’s our pleasure to welcome MindTrip Rec label boss Pfirter to Global Vibe Radio.
For just under two decades the Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based producer Pfirter has been pushing a sound by turns steely, dark and uplifting, true to the founding principles of the techno’s ethos but eager to throw his own vanguard, personal touch into the mix.
MindTrip returns to the shelves with a new collaborative release titled Purification of Malice, introducing head honcho Pfirter sharing the same ‘room’ with Token label boss Kr!z.
Their EP opens with Kr!z, presenting his first original material outside of his own platform; while on the B side, Pfirter extends his musical research with 2 trademark cuts. The final outcome is worth every second of the wait.
MindTrip relentlessly continues its journey and welcomes Portuguese producer Nørbak for his debut EP. Praying to Silence includes four signature tracks that extend Nørbak’s intensive production skills from across the whole record: Dark, deep and hypnotic productions filled with atmospheric elements and dynamic structures.
MindTrip relentle
Born in the late nineties, he is considered one of the most prolific producers at the moment with several releases on labels such as Warm Up Recordings, Modularz and Float Records. His devotion and hard work has proven his very promising talent around dark, deep and hypnotic productions filled with atmospheric elements and dynamic structures.
Praying to Silence includes four signature tracks that extend Nørbak’s intensive production skills across the whole record. Follow his journey into the darkness.
We featured Nørbak on our Global Vibe Radio mix series late last year. Listen to it here.
For the past fifteen years Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based producer Juan Pablo Pfirter has been pushing a sound that is undeniably steely, dark and uplifting, true to the founding principles of the techno’s tetramorph but eager to throw his own vanguard, personal touch into the mix.
At the end of 2019, the label boss was talking about a busy year ahead for MindTrip and now we know exactly what he had in mind.
Fresh and new collaborative projects will debut on the label in 2020, starting with Pfirter’s powerful shared EP with Oliver Rosemann who is no stranger to the world of MindTrip. Together they go as dark as they feel across 4 impressive cuts on their Alpha release, blending peak time-intensity with Industrial grooves and dark side body music their own way.
Alpha becomes the first of multiple collaborative concepts that will expand further over the year, with 2020 looking to truly be one of the busiest years for both MindTrip and label chief Pfirter.
6AM chats with Pfirter to learn more about what’s in store for him and his label in the coming months…
MindTrip label head, Pfirter, returns to his imprint with an assertive four-tracker on wax and one exclusive digital download. As he continues his hunt to the dance floor while remaining loyal to his signature sound of asymmetric rhythms, accurate arrangements and fierce synth lines, Pfirter is clearly focused on the heaviest side of his own palette.
Dosis Multiple is his effort for sharing a balanced release of firm Techno cuts while playing with intensities, moods, hypnosis, tension and release.
Clearly influenced by late ’90s Techno, Leipzig based DJ, producer and one half of the techno duo Dualit, Oliver Rosemann shares his debut 4 track EP on Pfirter’s MindTrip Records, titled Intermediate World.
Pfirter and his label MindTrip are highly respected in the world of Techno. Being the main vessel for his own productions, it has also featured music and remixes by producers such as Chris Liebing, Lucy, Markus Suckut, Oscar Mulero and Developer, whilst also looking to support and break new artists.
The fifteenth vinyl release is in charge of Italian talent Diego Amura who makes his MindTrip debut following releases on the likes of ARTS, Planet Rhythm and Konsequent. Having played alongside leading DJs such as Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Rødhåd, Sleeparchive and Dax J, his reputation is growing substantially with each gig and release.
Diego’s original tracks on the Automa EP incorporate a raw, analogue aesthetic, with a nod to the old school. Straight up jams ready for any dancefloor, they also have a feeling of menace and purpose from the twisted melodies. We are premiering “Preludio” today for you, a digital only release
During Amsterdam Dance Event we took the time to make it to Dockyard, a one-day festival complete with five massive stages housed in tents that sits somewhere between land and water, surrounded by shipping containers and cranes.
One of the stages was being hosted by Spanish techno record label PoleGroup, featuring some of the most exciting raw techno talent that could be found at ADE this year. Artists the caliber of Reeko, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi as well as Jonas Kopp and Pfirter all put on an impressive display that day, providing festival goers with a slice of hard-hitting techno that was mostly absent elsewhere at Dockyard with the exception of Surgeon and Lady Starlight at the Terminal One stage.
Jonas Kopp and Pfirter are an Argentinian duo that have been around for the better part of two decades now, finding their home in the dark cavern of broody, powerfully-driven techno that has made PoleGroup such a respected label worldwide. Today they are releasing a brand-new split EP entitled Seek, a six track musical journey that begins in space and travels to the dance floor, taking the listener on a trip filled with heavy kicks, profound ambient soundscapes and aggressive 909 sequences. You can stream the release below and find it for purchase via Bandcamp. We briefly caught up with the duo ahead of the release to discuss their work together and the collaborative elements that make them such a successful studio and DJ project.
