ARC Music Festival will debut on Labor Day Weekend in Chicagoâs Union Park, and with it they present a lineup that blends the more underground sounds of electronic music, with a focus on Chicago House, well-known big room Techno names and genre-blurring Electronica artists.
Recognizing that women are an integral part of the dance music scene, Beatport and Maya Jane Coles are celebrating Womenâs History Month with a host of special programming. Fans will be treated to a residency from the famed London DJ and producer; Â re-streaming of DJ sets by amazing women; live Q&A sessions with artists; a Bass live stream; and a Beatportal feature highlighting the Women of Beatport. Here it is, the full Sunday lineup for Movement Electronic Music Festival’s 2019 edition, set to take place May 25-27th at Hart Plaza in the heart of Detroit.
This one is techno heavy, featuring old and new names alike. At first glance we see festival favorites Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Kevin Saunderson, who will be playing back-to-back with his two sons, The Saunderson Brothers.
To celebrate a century of outstanding releases, Last Night On Earth (LNOE) drops its first-ever compilation, featuring 11 tracks selected by Sashaâs invited guest remixers.
For this one we see Radio Slave, Frankey & Sandrino, Locked Groove, Deadbeat and Yotto step up for their label debut, while Nicole Moudaber, Fur Coat, John Monkman, Dubspeeka, BAILE and VONDA7 return once more.
With the Electric Island Toronto season six finale upon us, two things are clear:
1) This year was one of the most successful and attended summers to date, and
2) this year was one of the fastest summers to pass by! It’s hard to believe that Toronto is already gearing up for the two-day Labour Day edition, on Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3. Most mourn the Labour Day weekend, as it signals an end to the warmer days, but thanks to the absolutely stacked line-up that Electric Island has put together, the only feelings here are anticipation, wonder and joy! From one of dance music’s biggest names, Loco Dice, to the queen of techno herself, Nicole Moudaber, to Mobilee’s exquisite live performer Rodriguez Jr., the season finale boasts an incredible line-up of international talent.
