Tympanum Records Debuts With Thought-Provoking V/A Compilation EP

In Anatomy, the tympanum is an external hearing system that allows mammals, and other certain species, to sense prey, potential mates, and other aspects of primal, and instinctual idiosyncratic actions.

Tympanum Records, a record label and project situated in Orange County, California, in the USA, is a passion piece that reflects a hybridization of musical ideals. Raw, animalistic sounds that are also emphasized in a form that can also reflect atmosphere, and environmental design in a diverse spectrum of music. This statement reflects the musical styles of the label’s co-owners, EAS, and Josh Sturges.

Last Tuesday 26th July, Maceo Plex explored the mosaic of sounds that Ibiza can offer by taking a 24 hour musical journey through 10 different spots 0n the island.

Although many outlets concentrated on what seemed to be a record-breaking feat – the performance of 10 separate sets in the space of 24 hours – Maceo Plex took to his Twitter page to underscore that the focus wasn’t on the number of sets, but rather on the eclectic selection of genres and sounds that have made Ibiza such an iconic and magical music destination for decades.

Maceo Plex’s long career has been filled with one extraordinary accomplishment on top of another. On July 26th, he will embark on a 24-hour journey throughout Ibiza highlighting the music mosaic of the island with 10 separate sets each played at a different location.

The Ellum Audio boss and Mosaic chief made the announcement via a video posted to his Mosaic Facebook page. Born Eric Estornel but also artistically known as Maetrik and Mariel Ito, Maceo will perform at several of the island’s most interesting locations, promising to highlight the eclectic selection of genres that have made him one of the most sought-after producer and DJ throughout the world. The format is a true testament of his Mosaic party series, seeking to explore different pieces of electronic music that make Ibiza the magical island that it is.

Maceo Plex To Launch New Residency “Mosaic” at Pacha Ibiza This Year

Tech house producer Maceo Plex will launch a new artist-led residency titled Mosaic at Pacha Ibiza this May. From May 24 to October 4, Maceo Plex will head the party series on Tuesdays alongside the famed Flower Power party, bringing a new perspective to the club scene in Ibiza. Read more
