Andrew Weatherall Live Waxwerks Set (Pt. 2)

Andrew Weatherall live

Asking someone their favorite artist can lead to a wide variety of answers. British artist, Andrew Weatherall, is very high at the top of my list, and to start this Monday we have Part 2 of his Waxwerk Set. An extended journey with a wide range of musical selections.

After listening to all of Part 1 of his Waxwerks set I was eager to start the second. Part 2 is another extended journey coming in at over two hours, but the best part: it flows and will have your ears locked in to the session. Warm and gritty saw basslines, tense suspended strings, futuristic leads…the mix has it all.

His sound is experimental, intriguing, and he delivers it in such a way that leaves dancefloors feeling more than satisfied. With releases on prominent British labels Warp Records and Rotters Golf Club, his catalog and music selection never ceases to amaze. This mix is the perfect way to end the day and get through any Monday blues. For those who want to dive into the full marathon, you can find Part 1 of his Waxwerks set here: Andrew Weatherall Waxwerks Set Part 1.

Avatism Live at Panorama Bar

Live set up

Live sets are starting to be seen much more frequently in the club environment these days. Technology has certainly had an influence on artists and how their studio rigs can be easily incorporated into a live set up, thus creating a new experience and atmosphere for the night. One artist who embraces his live performance to the fullest is Avatism, and the week of his LA debut is upon us.

Avatism will be making his LA debut at our first event installment of WORK 001 this Friday, along with Hands Free (MFR Records) and support from our own Andrew Hong, Jamie Charles, and JIA. To start the week, it’s only appropriate to share one of Avatism’s live sets from Panorama Bar in Berlin earlier this year.

His performance embodies all elements of proper techno, and the flow between sounds and rhythms are uncompromised. Unlike some sets where one can expect the flow and journey, Avatism delivers a unique performance touching on all bases through various elements and instruments. His LA debut this Friday will be quite a treat for clubbers and audiophiles alike.

Presales can be found here on Resident Advisor, and guestlist is available here.

Fernando Costantini at Tini & The Gang Closing

tini and the gang

The past few years, Tini has made tremendous progress in pushing her Tini & The Gang event brand. During the Ibiza season these open air parties have a solid roster of DJ’s providing slick tech house grooves from start to finish. To get us started today, here’s Fernando Costantini with his two hour opening set at the Tini & The Gang closing party at Sirocco Beach.

The mix is pure bliss, and it’s easy to put yourself in the mindset of listening to this on a sun kissed beach in Ibiza. An excellent selection of house and tech that set the mood perfectly for a fantastic closing. Enjoy the mix, and have a great week everyone!

Brendon Moeller Live PA

brendon moeller live

Like many major cities, New York is no stranger to quality dance music. Everything from house to techno the city has it going on. One of many artists currently residing in the city is Brendon Moeller, a true professional when it comes to production and live performance.

Moeller, also known as Echologist and Beat Pharmacy, has quite the résumé when it comes to releases. Specializing in dub techno on labels like Electric Deluxe, Echocord, and Abstract Theory, he likes to sneak in the occasional house release. That being said, Brendon Moeller truly is a craftsman when it comes to dub techno textures. He has the ability to inject a certain life to his tracks that make them so recognizable, yet so unique.

To kick start our Monday, here’s a live performance that Moeller did exclusively for the RYC (Reclaim Your City) Podcast. It’s a fantastic journey through techno, and his live performance is the perfect explanation as to why he is the master of dub techno. Enjoy the set, and have a great week!

The collective made up of artists Rampa, Adam Port, &Me, David Mayer, and Resnik are incredibly forward thinking and always true to the music.

Infusing tribal rhythms, low slung grooves, and hints of synthetic texture everyone at Keinemusik knows how to start and keep a party going. Enjoy this edition of the Keinemusik Radio Show, and have a great week.
