Resident Advisor and Select British Clubs, Promoters & Promoters Awarded Up to £1 Million Grants by Arts Council England

A host of British venues, theatres, museums and cultural organizations have been awarded the initial round of grants from Arts Council England as part of theĀ Culture Recovery Fund, including Resident Advisor, Ministry of Sound, Corsica Studios, Village Underground and more.

Round one of the awards consists of 1,385 awards under £1 million have been made, totalling more than £257 million. The overall program aims to give out £500 million of relief support for cultural organisations based in England.

UK’s Premiere House and Techno Festival, Eastern Electrics Returns to Morden Park

On August 3rd and 4th, Eastern Electrics will return to Morden ParkĀ in South LondonĀ featuring over 80 artists across eight stages. Founded in 2007, Eastern Electrics has become one of the UK’s fastest selling electronic music festivals having been born in a warehouse the festival has grown to larger venues, more stages, and more antics.

In 2017, Eastern Electrics moved from The Hatfield House to Morden Park in South London and featured household names like Seth Troxler, Groove Armada and may others. For 2018, the iconic festival will return to Morden Park collaborating with some of the most well-known and respected house and techno promoters in the UK and the world.

Digital download site Trackitdown has partnered with multi-platform video and music network Music Choice to bring the best house and techno programming to 55 million U.S. homes. The music will air seven days a week from 3-5pm ET (12-2pm PT) and 10pm-12am ET (7-9pm PT) as part ofĀ Music Choice Dance/EDM Channel’s ā€œThe Best of BE-AT.TVā€ block, showcasing the newest DJ performances from the world’s best festivals on a weekly basis.

When asked about the new union, Nick Coles, Head of Operations at Trackitdown, stated, ā€œwith independent labels constantly having to evolve around a shifting landscape of services and revenue streams, this exciting new partnership gives us an unprecedented platform to reach millions of music fans across the US each and every week. It is a fantastic progression for Trackitdown and for all the labels that support us.ā€

The channel will reach 55 million homes across the US and will generate a new stream of publishing for Trackitdown’s thousands of artists and labels. The digital download store currently works with over 30,000 labels and distributors spanning all electronic genres from Armada, K7, Ministry of Sound, New State, Spinnin’ and Toolroom.
