Minecraft Festival To Feature 300+ Artists & Curated Stages by Above & Beyond, All Day I Dream, Dirtybird, Paradise, Nicole Moudaber, Desert Hearts, Diplo, ZHU & More

Electronic music has been a driving force shaping festival culture over the last thirty years, and as the live event world is radically shaken and re-shaped by the Coronavirus, a new Minecraft festival, Electric Blockaloo, is set to define what a festival will look like in 2020.

Electric Blockaloo, produced by Rave Family, will debut on June 25-28 and is a collective effort from some of the biggest names in electronic music. Stage hosts include Diplo’s Higher Ground, A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold, Claude VonStroke’s DIRTYBIRD Records, ZHU PRESENTS: BLACKLIZT, and Claptone’s Masquerade, along with label collectives including Desert Hearts as well as Circus Records and Lost Resort Presents: TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art Sound. The underground roots of dance music are also well represented with Jamie Jones’ Paradise, bedouin Presents: Saga, Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, and Soul Clap’s House of E-Funk.

Now Everyone Can Get Inside Berghain… Thanks to Minecraft

If you’ve never made it past the strict bouncers at Berghain (there’s a few of you), you can now take a virtual tour of the Berlin club – in Minecraft.

As CDM states, the “strangely accurate” recreation of the club (which was originally posted to the r/technosubreddit) features toilets, coat check, Berghain, SĂ€ule and Panorama Bar dancefloors and even a queue. While there is no garden, the recreation is very accurate, although you won’t find Marcell Dettmann or Ben Klock spinning through your tour.
