Mamby on the Beach, Chicago’s only beachside summer music festival, takes place Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th, on the grassy fields and sand-swept coastline of Oakwood Beach in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood.

Backed by a stunning view of Chicago’s skyline and the shimmering waters of Lake Michigan, the Beach Stage showcases the best in indie, electronic, and hip-hop. Headlining is hometown hip-hop icon COMMON and one of the hottest rising stars in the game, RUSS. The Beach Stage will also host a live performance by acclaimed UK house duo GORGON CITY, along with ROY WOOD$’, whose smoothly textured hip-hop promises to hit you right in the feels. Brotherly synth rock trio AJR join the roster, along with the impeccable rap lyricism of Savemoney’s TOWKIO. MOON BOOTS will also perform with a full band, while ascendant Chicago producer WHETHAN returns with his wavy soundscapes. Additional acts include the infectiously groovy UK duo HONNE, soulful sounds from JAMILA WOODS, PIVOT Gang’s JOSEPH CHILLIAMS, and more.

The Windy City will again transformed into Summer City as Mamby On The Beach, Chicago’s only beachside summer music festival, returns on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, at Oakwood Beach.

The festival will feature a main stage with the backdrop of Chicago’s iconic skyline and Lake Michigan’s shimmering waters. Meanwhile, on the lush grasses of the park stage, attendees are invited to kick back and groove to a diverse group of crossover acts from all corners of the hip-hop and electronic gamuts. The festival also features an electronic state, curated for a second consecutive year by Mixmag and hosting hypnotizing rhythms and underground beats for two days straight.

As always, this year’s Mamby On The Beach will feature an eclectic mix of artists, bringing some of the most defining sounds in the indie, electronic and hip-hop genres. Additional acts include soulful electronic champions Miike Snow, sensual R&B-hybrid duo Marian Hill and tropical house master Klingande. In support, fiery performances from Raury, Strkfkr, Muna, Ravyn Lenae, Gavin Turek and more will keep the inclusive beachside vibes in full swing.

This year marks Mamby On The Beach’s second year on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago.

After a successful debut edition, the React Presents festival is returning with a third larger stage, increased festival space and an even more impressive lineup than 2015’s. Mixing indie, hip-hop and electronic dance music-focused acts, the 18+ two-day festival takes place at Oakwood Beach on July 2nd and 3rd.

Mamby to Bring Tale of Us, Loco Dice and Seth Troxler to Chicago’s Lakefront

Last year React Presents – Midwest’s largest dance music promoter – inaugurated Mamby On The Beach on the shores of Lake Michigan.

The idea was different than the rest of the festivals in their portfolio: rather than focusing on EDM and jam bands, Mamby booked indie, electronica and house artists the likes of Empire of The Sun, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, Passion Pit, Art Department, George Fitzgerald and Route 94 and placed them on Oakwood Beach in Chicago’s South Side. For the first time in three years the City of Chicago had another beach festival to look forward to.

This year, the two-day festival will take place July 2nd and 3rd with three large full production stages, and an even bigger lineup to boot. Main Stage headliners include electro-soul artist Chet Faker, underground rap favorites Atmosphere, funky duo Chromeo, the iconic Santigold, experimental pop-rock band Animal Collective as well as other live acts such as Lupe Fiasco and Tycho.

The DJ tent will be just as stacked with talent. Life & Death favorites Tale of Us will be joined by Loco Dice, Seth Troxler and Black Coffee, with Chicago talent representation coming from Derrick Carter, The Black Madonna and Gene Farris.
