Over the past decade, Lee Burridgeâs All Day I Dream has captured the imagination and hearts of music lovers everywhere, offering magical daytime experiences dedicated to the community as much as the music. On May 12-15, The All Day I Dream Festival will debut in the idyllic surroundings of Californiaâs Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale, California to offer its first-ever weekend long camping escape.
When you go to a show, do you care what the DJ does onstage while performing? If a DJ doesn’t pump up the crowd, are they really doing their job? It’s an age-old question in the dance music scene and one that recently re-sparked a lively discussion thanks to social media. Dance music fans are split: what makes a good DJ, a good DJ? Is it just the music and technical skills alone? Do artists who put work into their live production also deserve accolades? Do DJs need an onstage persona or gimmick? Should they even be up there enjoying themselves or focused solely on curating the perfect set?
Lee Burridge is not one for the limelight, yet somehow he found his way into a career that puts you front and center of it all. Taking to the DJ booth, he’s been commanding dancefloors all over the world for the past 30 years. However, while he’s become a well-respected electronic music mainstay, for Lee Burridge, music has always been the centerpiece. âI was on the microphone asking people to move their cars, so people could go home,â says Burridge reminiscing on his beginnings as a wedding DJ and playing at local nightclubs. âI loved music, and actually is the same reason I DJ today is because I love music and love to share it.â
Today, global house music icon Lee Burridge and Belgian studio impresario Lost Desert have released their collaborative album, Melt, on All Day I Dream. The album acts as Leeâs first complete body of work, fusing his history of entrancing dancefloors around the world with the production know-all that has made Lost Desert one of melodic houseâs most expressive characters.
All Day I Dream has Announced the first set of events for 2019 with over 20 planned, and more yet to be announced.
Lee Burridgeâs series of shimmering day-into-night gatherings continue to spread its ethos with the announcement of its 2019 world tour. All Day I Dream conjured something truly magical nine years ago on a Brooklyn rooftop. ADIDâs delicately decorated spaces and ethereal, emotive soundtracking has inspired a movement which has drawn hundreds of thousands across the globe to experience the magic.
Continuing to push the envelope when it comes to nightlife production, New York Cityâs The Cityfox Experience continues to do what it does best, presenting The Cityfox Odyssey boasting 27 hours of world-class underground acts from 9pm on December 31 to 11:59pm on January 1.
The event will take over an entire city block once more, essentially a festival with four stages across multiple rooms and a selection of some of the world’s top electronic music artists such as Andhim, Adriatique, Brian Cid, Heidi, Honey Dijon, Jamie Jones, Lee Burridge, Tale Of Us, WhoMadeWho (Hybrid Set) and many more. For discerning lovers of quality dance music in Brooklyn, The Cityfoxâs Odyssey is the place to be this New Yearâs Eve and Day.
CRSSD Festival today has announced a unique assemblage of after-dark programming for its Spring 2018 event offering attendees a day into night tour through some of San Diegoâs most iconic venues.
Bang Bang will once again act as CRSSDâs after-hours hub as it welcomes disco-house icon DJ Harvey all-night-long for a Friday pre-party, followed by Shiba San on Saturday, and Gorgon City alongside KCRW mainstay Jason Bentley to close out the weekend. Music Box will host Turbo boss Tiga and Toolroom Records curator Mark Knight as well as a jacking This Ainât Bristol takeover on Sunday. Blonde Bar returns to the bill for a Saturday night of disco with Honey Dijon and Heidi Lawden.
The techno-driven NGHT MVS brand will touch down at Spin on Saturday with Cirez D, Charlotte De Witte, and Cristoph followed by an all-night Sunday closing party with Nicole Moudaber, ANNA, and Man Power. Then Ardalan and Nora En Pure will host their own day-time soirées at El Camino and Kettner Exchange respectively, while Bonobo rounds up the winos for a Sunday DJ session at Syrah.
On Saturday, December 30th, Lee Burridge and his throng of Dreamers took over Gin Ling Way in Los Angeles’ Chinatown to celebrate the incoming passage to 2018.
Decorated to perfection and filled with an eclectic crowd of music aficionados, the All Day I Dream party went off without a hitch, filled with colorful confetti, eye-popping outfits and the characteristic sounds and vibes Lee Burridge and his parties have become known world over for.
Spearheaded by Burridge, the soirée saw sets from ADID regulars Hoj, who opened the dances, and YokoO, who closed the event off as the moon began shining down on the hundreds in attendance.

Although the date changes every year, Dreamers remain faithful that the veteran British producer and DJ will return to the City of Angels once more to celebrate another orbit of our beautiful planet around the sun.
