In Interview: Josh Butler Launches New “Denton” Alias

Nothing Else Matters launch brand-new Home series with its first release from Denton, the new alias from Josh Butler. ‘Give It Up’ is a sublime, contemplative house cut with evocative vocals from Lauren L’aimant.

Under the banner of the new Home series, Nothing Else Matters are switching gear to release records more suited to home listening, an initiative that rose from the continued closure of clubs. The focus is set around productions that are eclectic and vocal-focussed yet still categorised as electronic. The Denton project also came about for the same reasons, and is now launched alongside singer Lauren L’aimant with their brand-new single ‘Give It Up’.

His first stop is EDC Mexico. Afterward, he’ll give California some major love in Los Angeles where Kölsch, Nic Fanciulli and JIA will join him on February 29. He’ll also grace the decks at CRSSD Music Festival in San Diego on March 8.

Digging Deeper at ADE: Josh Butler

Hailing from the North of England and having reached dance floors all over the globe, Josh Butler has been championing his high-calibre house sound thanks to a never-ending string of acclaimed releases on prestigious labels and gigs at some of the world’s best clubs and key festivals worldwide.

Next week he lands in North America, with scheduled stops in some of Canada and the United States’ most coveted clubs. The tour follows his recent collaboration with Kerri Chandler “Can’t Deny” on his own Origins imprint and his remix of Carl Cox’s classic “I Want You (Forever)”, whilst there’s also a remix for Joris Voorn on the horizon.

We caught up with the producer and DJ ahead of the tour while he was in the midst of a very busy ADE week.
