This last election marked the country’s need to make changes and get out of what felt was like a toxic relationship. Joris Voorn fans waited five years for the release of his latest album, but it was more than worth the wait.
\\\\ (pronounced “Four”) is a testament to Joris Voorn’s musical journey, focusing on a blend of house and trance, yet showcasing his ’90s influenced electronica and breakbeat roots. This fourth album from the Dutch maestro features 14 tracks and collaborations with Underworld, Lazarusman, HĂLOS and Michiel Borstlap, and tracks from this LP have since been remixed by the likes of Orbital, Yotto, Colyn, Special Request and J Magik.
It’s been a year and a half since 6AM caught up with the Spectrum boss, so getting to reconnect with Joris Voorn to get his thoughts on the album and the current pandemic and quarantine was more than overdue!

Flexing the muscles of his production prowess, Carl Bee has delivered his pounding new release, “Pacer”, a twisted club track that has already received a wealth of support from some of the industryâs biggest names, including Solomun, and Joris Voorn.
Dropping on Voornâs iconic Green label, Carlâs after-hours thumper relies on a sumptuous breakdown, and strong tribal elements; showcasing the Maltese producerâs gruff, and minimalistic beats.
After gradually building this acclaimed concept across multiple parties throughout Europe and his weekly radio show, Joris Voorn has brought the acclaimed Spectrum event series to North America this month for a six-date tour that kicked off last night in Chicago. That date will be followed by nights in New York, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal and Miami.
Whilst having already played in these major cities for many years, with Spectrum Joris Voorn is now more excited than ever to invite his fans into new very cool intimate and unique locations they have never seen him play before. So far, Joris Voorn Spectrum parties throughout Europe have seen him reach deeper into his music collection, pulling out a lot of his favorite classics and lesser-known gems alongside the best new material, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular, displaying his eclectic approach to each new show.
We caught up with a busy Joris Voorn shortly after he landed in Chicago for his first Spectrum gig, looking to dig deeper into the concept, possible future gigs on the West Coast, his relationship with ADE and some of his personal hobbies.
This latest broadcast from the leading streaming provider saw people tune in from all over the world. All previous records were broken and in all more than 8 million viewers tuned in, while the streams had a social reach of over 77 million people and 600,000 engagements.
There were many highlights across the two days with sets from huge names from the worlds of house and techno such as Sven VÀth, Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, Nastia, Chris Liebing, Charlotte De Witte, Kobosil, Blawan, Sam Paganini, Floorplan, Ilario Alicante, Alan Fitzpatrick and Adam Beyer.
With Miami Music Week now behind us, we collected some of the best live set recordings available for a non-stop 27-plus hour playlist containing everything from house to techno, via tech house and deep house.
Included in the playlist are recordings from performances at the Ultra Carl Cox Megastructure and RESISTANCE stages, as well as from parties around Miami. We will be adding to this throughout the week, so favorite it and share it on your SoundCloud to have it handy!
