Alongside Richie will be local legend, Takkyu Ishino, who has hosted many WIRED Clash events in the past as one of Japan’s forefront techno pioneers . DJ Sodeyama is another rising talent rising of the country who has been making waves in recent years. Sodeyama will be making a appearance at ULTRA in Japan at the techno stage dubbed RESISTANCE.

The lineup keeps getting better from here. Also joining from abroad is Radio Slave, a producer and DJ with decades worth of experience and talent from the UK. Sweden’s shining star Joel Mull will also be making an appearance for the night. He is currently jet setting around Europe but will squeeze some time for Japan in his busy schedule. DJ Shu-ma: What You Feel [Bass Works]

Album Art Dj Shu Ma

Sugiurumn has established a phenomenal outlet for releasing underground dance music through his label, Bass Works Recordings. Making it’s home in Japan, Bass Works Recordings has put out over 100 releases, and counting, while releasing an array of talented artists such as: Satoshi Otsuki, Hito, Satoshi Fumi, Ken Ishii, and many more.

The label has brought in DJ Shu-ma for the 105th release on Bass Works Recordings, and he delivers two slabs of optimal hypnotic and Balearic techno.

What You Feel is a two track EP that brings you in to full on terrace vibes. The original mix utilizes chopped up vocal samples and carries through with a deep FM sine wave groove, while playful drums and pads act as the foundation of the break. Lush chord stabs are soon to follow propelling this one right to the heart of clubbers on the dance floor.

The Ibiza mix of What You Feel is where DJ Shu-ma’s Balearic roots really shine through. The track remains relatively unchanged, but it’s with the inclusion of an underlying piano melody that gives it an airy atmosphere and one perfectly suited for early mornings on the White Isle.

What You Feel EP is currently out on all major music retail outlets. You can preview the tracks below, and make sure to stay up to date with DJ Shu-ma and Bass Works Recordings for more music.

Insomniac Announces EDC Japan 2016

edc lights

Pasquale Rotella, founder of Insomniac Events, recently announced that he will be bringing EDC to Japan next year. EDC, short for Electric Daisy Carnival, which began as a modest festival in Los Angeles in the late 90’s, has been growing exponentially ever since, now boasting events all across the U.S. and in Mexico, Brazil, and the U.K. Little information has been announced; all we know is that the event will take place in July 2016.

Hopefully the lineup will be announced soon, but don’t let that stop you from making travel arrangements early (before flight and hotel prices go up). As one of the world’s premiere dance markets, Japan (and the rest of Asia in general) is an excellent place for EDC, and we can imagine that it will be one hell of a party. AgeHa, Japan hosts WIRED CLASH with Chris Liebing & Guests

Banner
Let the techno marathon begin. In two weeks one of the top Japanese clubs, ageHa, will open their doors for a very special night of techno with guest Chris Liebing and Rebolledo. But it wouldn’t be a WIRED Clash party without a heavy roster of Japanese residents that know how to curate the perfect atmosphere for a night like this.

Leading the charge throughout the evening will be Japanese techno veterans Takkyu Ishino, Ken Ishii, Sugiurumn, DJ Nobu, A. Mochi (Live), amongst many, many others. Needless to say the strong industrial techno sound of Chris Liebing will be complimented nicely by the rest of the lineup. Located in the Shin Kiba area of Tokyo with a capacity of about 2,400 people, ageHa is an ideal location to host WIRED CLASH. Big enough to feel epic, yet intimate enough to really take a journey with such excellent musical curators.

WIRED CLASH is the type of event that exemplifies such strong musical pride within the country, and year after year WIRED continues to provide Tokyo with a legendary nightlife experience. Come April 28th, this event will be the definition of Techno Tuesday. And while it may not be the official video, sometimes a good old fashioned crowd video is the best way to get excited for an event.
