On May 18th Downtown Los Angeles witnessed the first ever Innervisions label showcase to take place within its city boundaries.
On top of bringing their label to LA, Dixon and Âme themselves embarked on a back-to-back set to close out the daytime-into-evening experience, as unusual May light rain pattered down on the hundreds of revellers who poured into Pershing Square for the experience.

Rakastella, the brainchild of underground electronic music tastemakers, Life and Death and Innervisions, returns this December. The seventeen-hour sunset to sunrise collaborative music and art experience, taking place on the idyllic shores of Miami’s Historic Virginia Key, has become a must-attend in the global music calendar and a cornerstone of Miami’s Art Basel week since its launch in 2017.
Rakastella – a Finnish word meaning ‘to make love’ – is just that, a coming together of some of the greatest minds in the global house and techno community along with leaders from the worlds of art and fashion.
Innervisions Arrives To SoCal on May 18th With Open Air Performance in Downtown Los Angeles
Innervisions, the label founded by Dixon and Âme, is heading West. The storied Berlin label, famed for their distinctly emotive and psychedelic take on house and techno, will bring to life a former grand dame city park in Downtown Los Angeles this May.
Innervisions Los Angeles, produced in partnership with Future Primitive, is the label’s first official showcase in the city, and will feature Dixon, a DJ set from Âme’s Kristian Beyer, Trikk, and Eagles & Butterflies for extended open-air performances set against the skyline of Los Angeles.

After a stellar 2018 which saw Innervisions touch down in Miami, Beirut, London, Moscow, Marrakech, Barcelona, and Paris, the prestigious label will make a rare trip across the pond for its New York debut taking over Knockdown Center on Friday, May 17 from 9pm-5am. With visionary label heads Âme (DJ) and Dixon leading the night’s proceedings with a special back-to-back DJ set, together they will bring along some of the most exciting names in underground dance music: critically-acclaimed DJ Koze, fast-rising star Trikk and French talent, Jennifer Cardini. Joining the ranks of some of the biggest festival brands in the world that have hosted the highly-regarded label such as Amsterdam Dance Event, The BPM Festival, and Sónar Festival, Knockdown Center is honored to present talent from one of the underground’s finest imprints this spring.

The late summer event will see Innervisions co-creators Dixon and Kristian Beyer of Âme go back-to-back for an extended set as they take over the sprawling outdoor oasis alongside DJ Koze, who will make a rare US appearance, as well as Solar and Trikk. With Innervisions showcases far and few between at global dance music events like Amsterdam Dance Event, The BPM Festival and Sónar Barcelona, New York City is in for an exceptional evening of dance music this August.
Life and Death and Innervisions Announces Return of Rakastella for Art Basel
International underground electronic music labels Life and Death and Innervisions have recently announced the return of Rakastella, their collaborative music and art event. It is set to be held during Art Basel Miami on December 8 at Miami’s idyllic Virginia Key beach.
Taking its name from Finnish word meaning “to make love’”, Rakastella is set to welcome revelers and nomads once more for a 14 hour day-into-night experience of musicality and art coming together. With some of the greatest minds in the global house and techno community taking part, this coming edition of Rakastella promises to provide an unforgettable music and art experience.
Innervisions and Life and Death Release Final Rakastella Lineup for Art Basel
Happening on December 9 at Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami, Life and Death and Innervisions‘ collaborative event Rakastella is set to feature a selection of top-tier artists throughout the event.

Q&A: Tim Engelhardt Talks America, Studio and Live Setup while on Debut United States Tour
One of Cologne’s youngest and brightest electronic music stars on the rise, Tim Engelhardt didn’t crash the scene out of nowhere, but started his path as a young kid, first trying to rewrite the piano pieces he had to practice at the tender age of eight, already showcasing the creative and musical mind that would eventually lead him to become the respected and prolific electronic music producer he is today.
Tim discovered the music of Robert Babicz early on and, under his influence and mentorship, became churning out track after track, growing his portfolio with plenty of releases on labels such as Traum Schallplatten, WIR, Babiczstyle, Amuse Gueule, Ostwind Records, Popart Music, Playmusic Productions, Parquet Recordings, Manual Music and Steve Bug’s iconic Poker Flat Recordings – all in just four short years, before eventually showcasing his music on imprints such as Dixon’s Innervisions and Cityfox.
Currently in the midst of his debut USA Tour, Tim took the time to talk with us in between his successful debut at Cityfox in New York and his stop at Chicago’s Spybar for 3feetdeep tomorrow night.
