Premiere: DJ Samer Invites Dani Ivory For Latest “Immportal” EP on Pangea Recordings

Dani Ivory’s biography reads like the stuff that most musicians dream of. There are few artists who can boast playing the planet’s largest gigs and festivals alongside some of the world’s most famous musicians and bands, as Dani Ivory can. In fact, Dani’s vocal skills and ability to perform live on stage in front of tens of thousands of fans earned her band member status with some of the globe’s hottest acts such as Imagine Dragons, Cee Lo Green, and pop superstar BeyoncĂ© to name a few. Dani’s work ethic and hypnotic voice has allowed her to distinguish herself from others in her genre and has allowed her to delve into a very bright looking solo career.

After being introduced to each other by a well-known promoter and spending time together in Los Angeles, Dani took time from her busy schedule to team up with label boss Samer to work on a project that eventually became known as ‘Immortal’, which quite naturally makes its way out on Samer’s label Pangea Recordings. ‘Immortal’ showcases Dani’s ability to work with producers across multiple genres while introducing her fan base to a more progressive approach to dance music through Pangea. Such a package would not be complete without iconic remixers, however.

Coachella To Feature Claptone’s Audio-Visual Live Show “Immortal”

Claptone

After the original Coachella line-up was announced, we noticed a small modification was made to specify that Claptone will be bringing his latest audio-video project entitled “Immortal” to the desert. Early last year, news came out of Claptone’s camp that he had partnered with Oscar-nominated creative director Peter Martin to execute a brand-new audio-visual concept for Live shows, which has since made festival debuts at Ultra Music Festival, Melt!, South West Four and Stereosonic.

A YouTube video announcing the revolutionary concept tells us that the project is divided into three distinct chapters – the past, the present and the future – each with its own visual language. Although Claptone has toured for years as a single person, videos and internet chatter seem to suggest that during “Immortal” there are at least two members of the project on stage. Whether it’s because one handles music while the other coordinates the live audio-visual aspect of the show it’s unclear. What is clear, however, is that Coachella will be the second festival in the United States to experience what has been described as a ground-breaking project in dance music.
