Digging Deeper with Ilario Alicante
Following on from his debut EP on Drumcode earlier this year, Ilario Alicante returns to Adam Beyer with a generous 6-tracker entitledĀ Figures & Echoes.
Hailing from Livorno, Italy, Ilario AlicanteĀ has enjoyed something of an unintentional Ibiza kinship with Adam Beyer. When the Swede played his special annual sets on the Amnesia Terrace for Cocoon, for three years out of four, the Italian has been right there playing alongside him, ensuring his talents were on the radar of the Drumcode chief. Thus, it makes sense then that his most recent release comes out on the iconic Swedish label.
We took the time to speak with the Italian producer and DJ to dig a little deeper into his relationship with the label as well as his home in Livorno.

Planning to ring in 2017 in the Eternal City?Ā You definitely should if Cosmo Festival’s massive lineup in Rome is anything to go by.
The giant Italian promoters have announced a NYE/NYD party worthy of the big occasion. Starting at 8pm on December 31st and ending at 4am on January 2nd, Cosmo Festival will take placeĀ across four different indoor venues, all within 100 meters walking distance fromĀ one another. Attendees will of course have access to all four spaces throughout the duration of the event.
Scheduled to perform are heavyweights the likes ofĀ Ćme (Live), Monoloc,Ā Chris Liebing, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Nina Kraviz, Pan-Pot, Avalon Emerson,Ā Luca Ballerini,Ā Ilario Alicante and Massimiliano Troiani. Cocoon Showcase at WOMB Tokyo
Japan’s most notableĀ danceĀ music club, WOMB, is set for a proper Cocoon showcase this Saturday featuring the label’s most qualified artist,Ā Mathias Kaden and Ilario Alicante,Ā as they get ready to expand their sound in to Tokyo, the epicenter of Asia’s underground electronic music scene. The night will also be filled with other talents including Alejandro Mosso performing LIVE on the top floor. The Womb Lounge will feature Circo Loco Japan Artist, Satoshi Otsuki along with a special set by Hawaii’s Asylum Afterhours, Darren Zane. The night is expected to be filled with Cocoon vibes in the heart of Tokyo. Japan is constantly rated as the top destination for quality electronic music in Asia and this special night ahead further proves the notion.
