In my opinion this is a direct result of many fans coming from the EDM, Trance and even metal scenes, and discovering techno during the pandemic thanks to live streams.
Techno music is a great type of tune to get your body moving; it’s why you can find so many people getting their freak on at warehouse party dance floors. While the genre was made with intent to get people dancing, it can also help get your body activated in many other ways as well, one of which being working out. Selective Response has also recently joined the WORK Residents in 2022 and talks to 6AM about his project and views on music.
Translate is an Argentinian producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has become one of the staples of mental, cosmic, and scientifically elaborated techno lately with big releases on labels such as Warm Up Recordings, SEMANTIC/\, Edit Select, Float, and his own imprint SRIE Records. his trademark minimalistic & hypnotic sci-fi sound explores space and traverses the galaxy.
Livening up the mid-week, LUMERTZĀ shares his latest Guest Mix with 6AM. The Brazilian/ Italian DJ and producer is currently based in Sydney, Australia. His music style is built on top of classic Detroit and Berlin techno. With presentations couched by intense feelings, LUMERTZ guides the dance floor in a hypnotic trip full of looped and acid sounds. In his short time living in Australia, LUMERTZ already shared the stage with some of the finest local names, such as Hoten, Ludovic, Manu Neves, Nick Reverse, and more. In 2021 he started to release his own songs and remixes through WeLove Recordings and independently.
October has brought nothing short of great albums, EPs, and mixes from the underground techno community. With the musical mastering of Seph (Sebastian Galante), the label of Triple Vision Records Distribution, and many others supporting Vladw and his EP Ushiro. The artist has been on a roll and continues to garner success in his musical endeavors. Set to be released Friday, October 15, Vladw’s EP will be a fire way to jump-starting the weekend in hypnotic ecstasy as well as ending Hispanic Heritage month with cultural empowerment.
Launching his progressive EP, “Solaris,” David Castellani is on a roll with staking his claim in today’s techno scene. With full force, Solaris exposes the true nature, style, and talent of Castellani. The EP also features a remix from the French, techno-maestro, Voiski. With the magical touch of Voiski, the rendition of the EP, “Solaris” is manipulated in a heavier, dubbed-out version. This heavier version has endless deep kick drums and more percussive leads, as well as sharp acid lines becoming sunken and more robust. 6AM caught up with the techno artist ahead of his Halloween performance alongsideĀ Scuba and Alejandro Franco.
Four years after the acclaimed EP Misericordia, which signed the enigmatic, dark and heady soundtrack of the documentary Sous le Donjon de Manu Le Malin in 2017, two French veterans of the electronic and rave scene Electric Rescue and The Driver (aka Manu Le Malin) present their third EP with their duo W.LV.S onĀ Astropolis Records.
