Known for his unique mixing technique – which according to many witnesses is close to perfection – and for his singular vibrating and energetic performances – Lucas Freire started his DJ career in 2000. His work in the studio, behind the decks and in the industry have since made him one of the most recognizable names to come out of the Brazilian techno scene.
DJ and producer BEC, has had a string of successful releases signed under Pan-Pot’s Second State Audio and Carl Cox’s Intec Digital in the past years. She’s also been labeled as one of the most exciting newcomers by Pulse Radio and even got support from Charlotte De Witte who’s been performing back-to-back with her recently in Colombia.
More recently, she caught her ears with her latest EP Sines & Breaks on VOIGHT, now available on Beatport.
It seemed fitting then to not only feature this rising artist on our weekly Global Vibe Radio mix series but to sit down for a chat with her as things began heating up on her fall schedule.

It’s a debut week for Insolate as she delivers her first Global Vibe Radio mix ahead of her LA debut for WORK by 6AM and Synthetik Minds this Saturday 09.29, alongside Perc and Sarah Strandberg (info HERE).
Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, on the wide Croatian East ā a town that at first glance a heavy industrial atmosphere overshadows – this is where she made first steps as a DJ back in 1997 before taking over European and worldwide clubs.
We travel to the Netherlands for this week’s Global Vibe Radio episode, and to Eindhoven to be exact ā the birthplace and home town of rave veteran Albert van Abbe.
Albert has been involved in many different musical and audio-visual projects over the past 17 years and is currently focused on making absorbing techno under his own name, while pushing his long-standing DRUM parties and celebrating the launch of his very own DRUM record label.
Van Abbe has found a unique creative niche where manic percussion, searching synths and wide open soundscapes exist in perfect harmony. There is a serenity to his music that is soothing and calming, while at the same time, arresting and experimental.
Besides his own labels, he has released on tasteful outlets like FIGURE Jams, Semantica Records, Deep Sound Channel and Trolldans. Van Abbe is a DJ as well as live performer, speaking volumes through his machines. He played shows at Berghain, Awakenings, Tresor and DGTL just to mention a few. When not crafting melancholic and salubrious atmospheres of his own, he brings this depth outwards, hosting events titled DRUM in Eindhoven and abroad.
Van Abbe was kind enough to offer us the two-hour recording from his recent set at Elevator club in Shangai for the VOID crew, and to chat with us a little about his recent Asia tour, life in Eindhoven, his newly-launched DRUM label and more.
For this week’s 127th edition of Global Vibe Radio we travel to Ukraine to welcome Anderholm, one of the most buzzed-about artists in house music today.
Following his recent collaboration EP with Lane 8, Ukranian producer Anderholm has now released Flight Of The Sparrow, a mini album via Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint.
A head nod to classical house records by way of percussive foundations and courageous basslines, the body of work acts as a refreshing release for the world of contemporary electronica. It’s hard to summarize Joachim’s accomplishments in a few words. Calling him a talented producer is barely scratching the surface,Ā considering his large discography that began with early releases on Kompakt and continues on, over a decade later, with top-quality tracks featured on his very own Affin imprint.
His career has brought him to perform in a myriad of countries, includingĀ Australia, Denmark, France, Georgia, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, the UK and moreĀ ā a testament to the respect his DJ sets have gained over the course of his long career.
But beyond his stellar work as an artist, it is his output as the head of his label that is even more recognized by peers and music aficionados alike.Ā Joachim created his label Affin to be as independent as possible and focus on his own vision, surrounded by artists with a similar vision such as Keith Carnal, Svarog, Reggy Van Oers, Deepbass, Ness and Toki Fuko.
In honor of Joachim’s contribution to Global Vibe Radio we took the chance to talk with him in depth about his work as an artist, as the head of Affin and much more.

As a regular fixture at the worldās top clubs and festivals, Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno, making it an honor for us to host him for this week’s episode of Global Vibe Radio with a Live recording from his set at Familia which took place at Egg London.
