German DJ and producer TEC3.N.O releases a new single called “Magnetar” on his own label, Electric Feelings. The Stuttgart-based artist has been active since 2014. Since then, TEC3.N.O. has been prolific within the scene. The artist’s timeline reflects his devotion to his craft and his aptitude for dynamic events and productions.

Torsten Kanzlerâs live sets are known to lead to controlled excess like no other. Like a chief engineer he takes his crowd into a universe of mind-blowing drum-arrangements, creaking synths and warm growling basslines, using “Maschineâ of Native Instrument and two Allen & Heath Xone K2. His direct interaction combined with a spontaneous set with up to four decks spinning is making Torsten Kanzler an exception â a league of his own.
In recent years Torsten has traveled the globe with gigs in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Venezuela, Argentina and more, including festival appearances at Nature One, Rave on Snow and Amsterdam Dance Event just to name a few. His powerful and profound techno productions, headed by his album Analog Systems released in 2015, have gained him support by the fellow peers the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini and Adam Beyer.
Torsten was kind enough to deliver a 60-minute live recording for the latest episode of Global Vibe Radio, and to chat with us a little about his career and what he has in store for 2017.
Germany’s Time Warp has announced its 2016 roster, an impressive bill containing top quality names in underground techno and house.
Taking place on April 2nd, at Mannheim’s 20,000-capacity Maimarkthalle, this year will see the festival debuts of Solomun, Apollonia and Kölsch. All time favorites Ricardo Villalobos, Sven VĂ€th, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Chris Liebing, Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Len Faki, Nick Curly, Richie Hawtin and Pan-Pot will be back with DJ performances while attendees will be able to witness live performances by Recondite, Petar Dundov as well as Henrik Schwarz and Frank Wiedemann as Schwarzmann. The festival will also feature two back-to-back sets by Joseph Capriati and Carl Cox as well as Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers as Tuskegee. Despite containing some of the usual suspects, this year’s edition remains as diverse as ever after yet another successful edition in 2015.
In the last few years the German festival has been taking its world-famous techno brand to new countries, making stops in Argentina, the Netherlands and the United States. Its yearly stop in Brooklyn, which began in 2014, has been extremely successful despite having to deal with venue issues both years.

In 1984, a 21 year old by the name of Andreas Tomalla invented techno⊠Not the musical genre, but the word (or so he claims). It all started when he was working at a record store in Frankfurt, and he had trouble categorizing the ânewâ vinyl coming in by Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. The very same year, he opened Technoclub, the first dance club in Frankfurt that devoted its undivided attention to electronic music. Now, the man better known by his stage name, Talla 2XLC, has forever solidified his name in electronic music by planning to open Europeâs first Techno Museum.
The Museum of Modern Electronic Music – or MOMEM for short, is scheduled to open in 2017 and will be expected to deliver a large spectrum of insight as to how electronic music has contributed to musical culture around the world. As opposed to traditional museums, MOMEM will focus on a wide array of various workshops for any burgeoning DJâs as well as other bilateral exhibitions for electronic music enthusiasts of all walks of life. The museum will also be host for live events, which in this case, means its pretty safe to assume a club-esque environment and vibe is to be expected. In this day and age, itâs difficult for some people to take an interest in museums of any kind but it’s doubtful to say the least that MOMEM will have any trouble with attendance.

Timewarp, one of the most monumental festival brands, has recently announced their lineup for 2015 in Mannheim, Germany. The German mega-festival will commence Sunday April 5th at 8:00pm and continue well into Monday afternoon.
Timewarp appears to be sticking with the cast of usual suspects that has brought them success over their long history. Many Timewarp residents such as Sven VĂ€th and Pan Pot make their return, with several fresh additions that stand out on the 2015 edition. Audion [Live] and Dubfireâs Live Hybrid performances should be highly anticipated, especially at a festival that caters to all aspects of the audio and visual performance.
Mannheim is where it all began for Timewarp, making each and every year a special moment for the city and for those who travel to experience the festival.
