In April of this year Swedish-born and Berlin-based DJ and producer La Fleur dropped her new EP Ravenwaves, out via her own Power Plant Records imprint, and today she delivers a playlist of her current favorite records.

The two tracks on that EP, ‘Ravenwaves’ and ‘Stalker,’ are the first of ten tracks La Fleur is set to release across 2020 to the ten-year anniversary of her label, so it’s no surprise to find one in her playlist selection below.

From Tuscany with love, JA:CK makes his Loot Recordings debut with two tracks that bend genres and push the boundaries of modern dance music.

The first cut “Pervinca” is a menacing slow builder, layered with dramatic rising synths that fuels tension and creates anticipation – a total euphoric floor killer! The choppy staccato rhythm of distorted synths continues to build, ultimately diving into complex, twinkling melodies that are sinisterly playful and perfectly complement the melodrama with a lighter, airy feel.

“Never Ending” is crisp, clean techno that’s emotive and dreamy, yet packed with a powerful punch for dance floors. Lead by a beautiful melody that’s modulated with delays and effects, the hazy track becomes increasingly hypnotic with warm pads and overtones that creates a deep, atmospheric production that will stand.

Cory James: My 10 Favorite Techno Tracks

New York imprint Dusk Notes return with four cuts from ASC, Imugem Orihasam and label bosses Soramimi and Cory James.

Since its inception in 2014, Dusk Notes have maintained their philosophy of pushing the more experimental spectrums of electronic music whilst accommodating to both the dancefloor and the introspective listener. The label founders invite the first guests onto the imprint including UK artist and Auxillary founder ASC and Japan’s Imugem Orihasam who together have releases on Semantica Records.

Timmo’s Top 5 Tracks of 2019

Bulgarian talent Timmo returns to Monika Kruse’s Terminal M imprint to deliver his Starlight EP ahead of his forthcoming LP on the label later this year.

With a career dating back to 2008, Valeri Ivanov, aka Timmo, has grown to become a key name and figure within the modern techno landscape. Picked up by Adam Beyer to release his debut EP on Drumcode at the age of just 24, the Bulgarian talent quickly went on to release a string of material via Octopus and Terminal M, whilst making appearances at the likes of D! Club (Lausanne), EGG (London) and Audio (Geneva).

Following his recent stand-out collaboration Violet with Terminal M founder Monika Kruse, here we see a first glimpse into his forthcoming debut album set for release on the label later this year as he reveals three cuts in the form of his Starlight EP that showcase a snapshot and concept of the forthcoming project.
