Montreal-based artist Atroxx is a musical chameleon. Even though his techno project Atroxx has amassed a significant fan base in recent years, he never wanted to be constrained by just one genre. Within the techno genre, Atroxx created another alias Three Faces of Eve to explore techno without boundaries, creating a more experimental and aggressive sound. From producing techno to synth-wave, Atroxx lives by the motto “put the audience first.” The musical identities around each alias are completely unique and the music he creates with each alias are meant for different settings. Some of the world’s biggest DJs and producers are well-known for their musical aliases as well. Maceo Plex has Maetrik and Mariel Ito. Eric Prydz has Cirez D and Pryda (and many more). Richie Hawtin has Plastikman, amongst a long list of others. These various sonic identities allow artists to open up worlds of possibilities and explore creatively.
Atroxx recently sat down with 6AM to give guidance on personal sonic exploration, finding success over time, and what the future in store holds for him. Creating music so many different aliases certainly takes dedication.
ARC Music Festival will debut on Labor Day Weekend in Chicagoâs Union Park, and with it they present a lineup that blends the more underground sounds of electronic music, with a focus on Chicago House, well-known big room Techno names and genre-blurring Electronica artists.
Eric Prydz and Deadmau5 are surely no strangers to playing together, with a few tandem performances already in their long list of achievements.
The two label owners and producers make for an interesting pairing, for despite having a similar approach to progressive house and a penchant for techno, they do have a signature sound of their own that some doubt marries well with the other. Regardless, the two have announced their plan to take their stage collaboration to the next step, with the launch of a North American tour that will see them perform across Canada, Mexico and the United States this summer.
Eric Prydz is returning to the White Island this summer, this time for a ten-week residency at the brand new Hï Ibiza which has taken over the building previously occupied by Space.
The Playa d’en Bossa nightclub is scheduled to open its doors this summer, aiming to continue to bring more “underground” acts to the repurposed space while also adopting more of the VIP signature lifestyle that characterizes the events that take place across the street at UshuaĂŻa. Both venues are now owned by UshuaĂŻa Entertainment, which explains the programming direction that HĂŻ is taking in confirming residencies that so far include Black Coffee and Martin Garrix just to name two.
Today Eric Prydz confirmed he will be taking over the club for ten consecutive weeks between the 20th of June and the 22nd of August. The residency, which is Eric’s first ever in Ibiza, will allow his team to use the club’s blank canvas to work their magic, building a site specific show for the residency, creating a unique stage for Eric to present his inimitable blend of house and techno across his Pryda and Cirez D aliases. The Prydz residency will bring a singular visual and audio experience to the Ibiza season.
Eric will be joined by old and new friends with Matthew Dear, Kölsch, Pig & Dan, Agoria, Catz ‘N Dogz, Tube & Berger, Dusky and more all confirmed to join him throughout the ten-week takeover.

Eric Prydz is set to get intimate with his fans this coming Spring 2017, announcing club and underground venue shows throughout North America that will see him play music from his multiple aliases of Pryda, CirezD and Eric Prydz.
The tour will crisscross the house and techno spectrums, while undoubtedly including his signature progressive house flair. The tour will begin at Washington D.C.’s Echostage on the 25th of February, and end in Los Angeles where he is set to play Insomniac’s Factory93 series in an underground-style location on April 8th. In between he will visit Uniun in Tornto, a secret warehouse in Brooklyn, Club Space in Miami for a Miami Music Week Pryda show, as well as Houston, New Orleans, Austin and Dallas.
The last few months have been particularly busy for Prydz. He announced his biggest ever show, EPIC 5.0. to be held in late May in London, the 15,000 capacity event sold out just hours after being announced. Under his Pryda alias he released Pryda 037, brought back his EPIC Radio podcast, and performed two special shows and released a track âLilloâ raising money to fight cancer in memory of his late fan James Lillo.
Tickets for shows will go on sale Friday January 13th 12pm EST.

2016 has been prolific for Eric Prydz. The Swedish producer and DJ released a debut album earlier in the year and has now released his second Cirez D EP in just as many months.
The artist, who is known for his ability to produce track after track and for his vast catalogue of unreleased work, is back with âBacklashâ and âThe Tournament,â two pieces that fit perfectly under Cirez D’s sound umbrella.
Both tracks ooze the type of driving, relentless and apothic techno that Eric has become known for producing under the alias.
The EP is out now on Beatport. You can listen to both tracks below:

Last night, Eric Prydz made his Essential Mix debut as Cirez D with a live set recording from Creamfields.
The Swedish progressive house and techno producer is not new to the BBC Radio 1 show hosted by Pete Tong, with Essential Mixes delivered in both 2011 and 2013, the latter of which won the accolade of Essential Mix of the Year. This, however, is the first time that the British radio show has featured a mix from Prydz’ techno moniker of Cirez D.
He was joined by drum & bass artists Chase and Status who delivered the other hour of the iconic radio show, also with a live recording from the British festival.
Enjoy the full two-hour recording of last night’s Essential Mix featuring both sets of artists via the BBC Radio iPlayer or directly through SoundCloud below.
Swedish progressive house master Eric Prydz is right in the midst of his EPIC 4.0 tour with a last stop scheduled for San Francisco at the Armory this coming Saturday February 27th.
This past weekend, however, he stopped in Los Angeles with two shows at the Hollywood Palladium and separate after-parties at Exchange LA (as Eric Prydz) and Lot 613 (as Cirez D).
A recording of his Friday night set at the Palladium is live on Soundcloud. While not official and in need of a bit of clean-up, it certainly captures the impressive set that was put on display by the skilled producer and DJ.
Yesterday, it was also announced that he will be playing a Cirez D CRSSD After Dark party at Spin in San Diego on the 5th of March after his performance at the festival.
Enjoy!

Eric Prydz is surely set for nothing but a massive 2016. Not only is his latest album “Opus” dropping this coming FridayFeb 5th, with pre-orders already available through iTunes, Amazon and CD/Vinyl, but he is scheduled to take his EPIC tour on the road for a fourth installment that will see him perform in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco next month ahead of his Ultra Miami date. Prydz is also set to perform a an after-party Pryda set at Exchange LA on February 19th.
On top of all the above, the Swedish producer has now announced that he will be bringing out his darker alter-ego Cirez D for two confirmed dates in the coming month. The first on February 13th at the newly opened Flash Factory in New York City and the second on February 20th at  Lot 613 in Los Angeles, promoted by Insomniac. Tickets quickly sold out for both shows.
With rumors of other Cirez D dates for the States circulating on the internet, it will be truly interesting to see which other cities Prydz will be visiting in the coming month. For anyone in Los Angeles, this translates to two Epic 4.0 shows followed by an after-party each night showcasing both of the producer’s sounds.
